The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the importance of early warning and response to public health events, while also illuminating global gaps in this capability. Approaches like Event-based surveillance (EBS) are particularly useful for early detection of disease outbreaks, and serve as vital tools for field epidemiologists and frontline health workers responding to public health threats.

Join us during our Americas Regional Scientific Conference for a pre-conference Interactive Learning Session on EBS. Attendees will learn from experts from CDC , who will introduce them to EBS fundamentals, its relationship to indicator-based surveillance, and how to implement EBS for early detection of respiratory diseases in their regions.
