Once again, our Business Management students are gaining first-hand experience of the world of professional football through an immersive internship with Southampton FC

Since arriving in Southampton, students have explored the many areas behind a professional football club, from sponsorship, hospitality, retail, and stadium operations to PR, communications, photography, video production, and social media.

They have also had the opportunity to explore the academy and training environment, learning about player development, coaching, analysis, and sport science.

Today, students are putting their learning into practice through sessions on player development and coaching, before designing their own training practices and presenting what they have learned.

The experience continues this weekend with an opportunity to explore Southampton and attend Watford v Saints at Vicarage Road.

We are proud of our students for embracing this opportunity with curiosity and professionalism, and grateful to Southampton FC for once again welcoming TASIS Portugal behind the scenes. 🔴⚪

Congratulations to the winning team of the TASIS Portugal Grade 11 IBDP Science Fair! 🏆

Faced with the challenge of imagining human survival after catastrophic climate change, this group investigated how different insulating materials could help keep homes habitable in a world of extreme temperatures.

Their project stood out for its innovative design, as they created a device to accurately measure and compare the effectiveness of different materials using a reliable and scientifically valid method.

A fantastic example of collaboration, creativity, and scientific thinking in action.

Well done to all of our Grade 11 students for their impressive work, and special congratulations to this year’s winners!

If every environmental disaster happened at once… would humanity survive?

Our Grade 11 IBDP science students were challenged to answer exactly that question during the annual TASIS Portugal Science Fair.

Working in teams over two intensive days, students had just 12 hours to research, experiment, analyse data, and present practical solutions for human survival in a world facing simultaneous environmental catastrophes.

The results? A fascinating blend of scientific rigour, creativity, and problem-solving.

Visitors explored questions such as:
⛺ How would you design a shelter capable of withstanding sulfuric acid rain?

🧴 Could you create a homemade sunscreen if the ozone layer suddenly disappeared?

☢️ How deep would a nuclear bunker need to be to protect people from global nuclear fallout?

🏠 And what materials would best insulate homes in a world experiencing extreme temperatures year-round?

Beyond the imaginative scenarios lies the true purpose of the challenge: empowering students to apply scientific thinking to complex, real-world problems while collaborating, communicating, and innovating under pressure.

Thank you to our school community and our guest speaker from Durham University for joining us and engaging with our students’ inspiring work.

Because sometimes the best way to prepare for the future… is to imagine the impossible. 🌎✨

Meet our Grade 5 Junior House Captains, students who lead with kindness, responsibility, and a commitment to making a difference.

Throughout the year, they help organize fundraising initiatives, competitions, and community projects that bring students together across all four Houses: Regaleira, Pena, Monserrate, and Mouros.

By supporting our community partners, they learn that leadership isn’t about being in charge, it’s about helping others, working as a team, and creating a positive impact.

From planning events to raising funds for meaningful causes, our Junior House Captains show that even small actions can make a big difference when a community comes together.

We are so proud of their dedication, confidence, and spirit of service. 👏✨
