Scaling SEL Across Cultures: What the Fun FRIENDS Study Teaches International Education Projects?

Recent research on early childhood SEL programs shows something powerful: when children develop emotional regulation, resilience, and social skills early on, we also see improvements in behavior, learning readiness, and long-term academic outcomes.

👉 SEL works best when it is embedded, intentional, and developmentally aligned.
👉 Early intervention can prevent learning and behavioral challenges later on.
👉 Schools are key spaces for scalable, preventive impact.

For international projects like EduTainSTEM, this reinforces a critical idea, innovation in education isn’t just about content or technology, but about integrating the human competencies that make learning possible.

📖 We unpack these insights and their implications for global education projects in our latest blog post: https://edutainstem.edublogs.org/2026/04/16/scaling-sel-across-cultures-what-the-fun-friends-study-teaches-international-education-projects/
