🇬🇧 GET TO KNOW ENGLAND: Stonehenge & the English Countryside 🌿

Standing proudly on Salisbury Plain, Stonehenge is one of the world’s most famous prehistoric monuments — and one of its greatest mysteries. 🪨

Built in stages between around 3000 and 1500 BC, the stones were transported and carefully positioned long before modern machinery existed. Exactly why Stonehenge was built remains unknown, although archaeologists believe it had important religious and ceremonial purposes.

But Stonehenge is only part of the story. The surrounding landscape is quintessentially English — rolling green fields, ancient pathways, grazing sheep and a countryside shaped by thousands of years of history. 🌾🐑

From prehistoric monuments to picturesque villages and centuries-old traditions, England’s countryside is full of stories waiting to be discovered.

✨ How much did you know about Stonehenge?

Get to know England

Calling all Bridgerton fans… 💙👑

If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into the world of the Ton, Bath is the place to visit! Many of the city’s beautiful Georgian streets and buildings were used as filming locations for the hit Netflix series.

These photos feature the stunning Royal Crescent, one of the most iconic examples of Georgian architecture in Britain, and No. 1 Royal Crescent, which appears as the exterior of the Featherington family home in Bridgerton. While the interiors were filmed elsewhere, the unmistakable façade has become instantly recognisable to fans of the show.

Built between 1767 and 1775, the Royal Crescent consists of 30 terraced houses overlooking Royal Victoria Park and is one of Bath’s most famous landmarks. Today, No. 1 Royal Crescent is a museum, giving visitors a glimpse into what life was like in an elegant Georgian townhouse.

Whether you’re a history lover, an architecture enthusiast, or simply a Bridgerton fan hoping to walk in the footsteps of Lady Featherington, Bath is guaranteed to steal your heart. ✨🎬🏛️

A day exploring the beautiful city of Bath. 🏛️✨

Located in the county of Somerset in southwest England, Bath is one of the UK’s most historic and picturesque cities. It’s the only city in the UK to be designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in its entirety, thanks to its incredible Roman and Georgian heritage.

The city gets its name from the natural hot springs that have been flowing here for thousands of years. Around AD 70, the Romans built the famous Roman Baths, which are among the best-preserved Roman remains in the world. The water still flows today at around 46°C!

Bath is also famous for its elegant honey-coloured Georgian architecture, including the iconic Royal Crescent and The Circus, and was once home to celebrated author Jane Austen, who featured the city in two of her novels.

A city full of history, stunning architecture, and plenty of charm—definitely worth a visit. 🇬🇧❤️

Get to know England

A few photos from another recent trip to the beautiful village of Shere. Never get tired of this place.

Shere is a beautiful, quintessential English village. Nestled in the Tillingbourne valley, Shere is located between the towns of Guildford and Dorking.

The village offers visitors charming buildings, a stream with ducks, a small museum, a tearoom, two pubs , The White Horse and The William Bray, a wealth of interest in the mainly 16th an 17th century houses as well as St James Church a 12th century church.
