This year, the theme of the workshop will be Plural Societies, Democracy and Power Dynamics and we welcome proposals focused on, but not restricted to, the following themes:

- Management of diversity and multicultural policies
- State violence over minorities
- Institutional arrangements in plural societies (federalism, power-sharing, consociationalism)
- Contemporary challenges to state stability and legitimacy
- Nationalism and collective identities
- Multilevel governance
- Social attitudes to diversity and immigration
- Democracy, political participation and citizenship
- Power dynamics and inequality in multicultural societies
