It is very important to preserve traditions in the big European family we live nowadays. In order to develop a good European awareness, we firstly have to discover our own identity, the roots of our culture. That is why partners from European countries joined in a partnership, having the main aim to encourage intercultural exchange in terms of folk music and traditional food, to discover similarit

ies and differences which will help them understand their role as European citizens. For two years, students and teachers from all partner institutions will gain information about traditional music and food and will organize workshops to teach one another traditional folk songs in the national languages, the lyrics being translated in English and workshops to cook traditional recipes. Dishes from all the partner countries will be cooked in joint workshops and the recipes will be gathered in a European cookery book. But the most important gain of the project will be the exchange among students and teachers, the development of the skills which help them in their everyday life.
