FEP Finance Club FEP - Finance Club is an Organization formed by Bachelor and Master students from Universidade do Porto - FEP. Porto).

The FEP Finance Club is a non-profit organisation formed by students from School of Economics and Management (FEP U. It was first established in March 2012 and its ultimate goal is to promote an approach of their members to the world of professional finance through a range of technical and non-technical activities.

We are proud to share our newest partnership between Zurich Portugal and FEP Finance Club.

Our main goal with this alliance is to bring the realities of rush management and the insurance sector closer to our community, offering students the chance to engage directly with market leaders.

In the near future, we will be rolling out joint activities to deepen your understanding of corporate finance and financial protection, ultimately narrowing the gap between university talent and the corporate world.

After 8 weeks, we officially concluded the 2025 edition of our 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 on the 29th of May, with the final presentations taking place at FEP.

Throughout the programme, participants developed equity research reports on companies within the 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 industry, further enhancing their expertise in Business Valuation, Financial Analysis, and Equity Research.

The final round gave teams the opportunity to present their work before an outstanding jury panel:

Organised by FEP Finance Club in collaboration with Banco Carregosa, the 2025 edition of our Trading Cup brought together 184 registered participants.

Each participant started with €100,000 in virtual funds, using Banco Carregosa’s platform to trade stocks, bonds, and other assets over nearly a month, competing to build the highest portfolio value.

Throughout the competition, a total of 2,123 trades were executed. The most traded instrument type was XAUUSD (Forex), while the most traded stock was NVDA (Nvidia).

Congratulations to all participants and especially to our winners!

We would also like to thank for their continued partnership, which has made this event not only possible but also an incredible learning experience for our university community. 📈

Outlook for the Financial Markets in 2026 📈

Today we celebrate the incredible women who are shaping the future of finance.

Although progress has been made, women remain underrepresented in leadership within the financial services industry. Currently, women hold around 20-21% of executive roles and 18-19% of C-suite positions in the sector.

At FEP Finance Club, we are proud that 38% of our members are women, reflecting the growing presence of talented women interested in building careers in finance. We are also proud to share that 50% of our Executive Board is composed of women, highlighting our commitment to fostering diverse leadership.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the ambition, leadership, and impact of women in finance and continue working towards a more inclusive industry.
