When you realize that many of us lacked good enough parenting, to say the least…
When you realize that many of us endured childhoods filled with nightmares and fears…
When you realize that many of us faced immense struggles and never felt held, comforted, or truly cared for as children…
When you realize how our innocence was stolen from us…
You begin to see that behind all the self-sabotaging behaviors, disturbing actions, and intense emotions of hate and rage, there are wounded little ones inside us. That’s the reality. End of story.
So, maybe we need more compassion when we come face to face with someone’s wounds. Often, we aren’t just seeing people—we’re seeing their childhood wounds.
And no, this doesn’t mean you don’t need boundaries. It means understanding that behind those behaviors is a wound, and your emotional response might be different with that awareness.
I am using IFS—Internal Family Systems—to guide you towards understanding and healing the wounded little ones inside you. Together, we can engage in dialogue, listen to their stories, and sit with their pain.
By acknowledging and addressing these inner wounds, we can start to heal and transform those behaviors, moving towards a more compassionate and understanding way of being.
I invite you on the journey of the first healing step. Heal the past to transform the future.
