🤝 Novas pontes entre Portugal e Ucrânia

Estivemos recentemente representados na Lviv National Medical University, na Ucrânia, numa visita que abriu portas a novas oportunidades de cooperação académica, científica e internacional.

Durante a visita, foi possível conhecer o trabalho desenvolvido na área da fisioterapia e reabilitação, incluindo um laboratório de última geração dedicado à produção de próteses de membros superiores e inferiores através de impressão 3D.

Mas, acima de tudo, foi uma oportunidade para conhecer pessoas, partilhar experiências e imaginar novas formas de trabalhar em conjunto. 💙💛

Entre as possibilidades discutidas estão a mobilidade de estudantes de fisioterapia, a participação conjunta em projetos multidisciplinares na área da reabilitação e o desenvolvimento de novas iniciativas de investigação e cooperação.

E houve ainda um gesto muito especial: uma prótese decorada com as cores da Atlântica e da Ucrânia, assinada pelos participantes da visita. Um verdadeiro símbolo da vontade de construir esta parceria. ✨

🤝Building new bridges between Portugal and Ukraine

We were recently represented at Lviv National Medical University, Ukraine, in a visit that opened the door to new opportunities for academic, scientific and international cooperation.

During the visit, we had the opportunity to learn more about the university’s work in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, including a state-of-the-art laboratory producing upper and lower limb prostheses using 3D printing technology.

But, above all, it was an opportunity to meet people, exchange experiences and imagine new ways of working together. 💙💛

Potential areas of cooperation include student mobility in physiotherapy, multidisciplinary projects in rehabilitation, and new research and international cooperation initiatives.

The visit also ended with a very special gesture: a prosthesis decorated with Atlântica and Ukrainian colours and signed by the participants. A meaningful symbol of our shared commitment to building this partnership. ✨

Foi uma excelente oportunidade para partilhar boas práticas, conhecer melhor o trabalho desenvolvido por ambas as instituições e reforçar a colaboração entre as nossas equipas.

🌍 Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming the team from the International Relations Office of the University of Extremadura (Spain) as part of an Erasmus+ staff mobility.

It was an excellent opportunity to exchange good practices, gain a better understanding of the work carried out by both institutions, and strengthen the collaboration between our teams.

The University of Extremadura is one of our partner institutions with whom we actively promote international mobility, regularly welcoming Erasmus students to our university. Visits like this are essential for strengthening partnerships, creating new opportunities for cooperation, and continuing to provide high-quality international experiences for our students and staff.

Na semana passada, promovemos mais uma sessão de Literacia em Saúde, no âmbito do projeto europeu CaregIVR 💜

Ao longo do workshop, os participantes tiveram a oportunidade de aprofundar os seus conhecimentos sobre as doenças cardiovasculares, compreender os principais fatores de risco, reconhecer sinais de alerta e explorar estratégias de prevenção que contribuem para uma melhor saúde e qualidade de vida 📚❤️

A promoção da literacia em saúde é essencial para capacitar as pessoas a tomar decisões mais informadas sobre a sua saúde e bem-estar, contribuindo para a prevenção de doenças e para a adoção de estilos de vida mais saudáveis.

Last week, we delivered another Health Literacy Workshop as part of the CaregIVR European project 💜

During the session, participants had the opportunity to learn more about cardiovascular diseases, understand the main risk factors, recognise warning signs, and explore prevention strategies that contribute to better health and quality of life 📚❤️

Promoting health literacy is essential to empower people to make informed decisions about their health and well-being, contributing to disease prevention and healthier lifestyles.

📍 Estivemos em Patras, na Grécia, para mais uma reunião transnacional do projeto SPIN OVER!

Na semana passada, a nossa equipa participou na reunião transnacional do projeto SPIN OVER, organizada pela Universidade de Patras, na Grécia.

Durante o encontro, tivemos a oportunidade de apresentar os resultados do Relatório Comparativo, desenvolvido no âmbito do Work Package 2, que reúne e analisa as conclusões da investigação realizada pelos parceiros sobre a promoção da inovação, comunicação científica e utilização de ferramentas digitais e inteligência artificial nas instituições de ensino superior.

A reunião permitiu ainda preparar a próxima Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA), que terá lugar em novembro, em Portalegre, onde continuaremos a trabalhar em conjunto para fortalecer as competências de comunicação e valorização da investigação e inovação.

Continuamos a construir soluções inovadoras para aproximar a ciência, a inovação e o empreendedorismo da sociedade. 🚀

📍 We participated in the SPIN OVER Transnational Project Meeting in Patras, Greece!

Last week, our team took part in the SPIN OVER transnational project meeting, hosted by the University of Patras in Greece.

During the meeting, we had the opportunity to present the results of the project's Comparative Research Report, developed within Work Package 2, bringing together the findings of the research carried out by all partners on innovation promotion, science communication, and the use of digital tools and artificial intelligence in higher education institutions.

The consortium also prepared the upcoming Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA), which will take place in November in Portalegre, Portugal, where partners will continue working together to strengthen skills in research communication, innovation promotion, and digital engagement.

Together, we are building innovative solutions that connect research, innovation, and entrepreneurship across Europe. 🚀

Na passada semana, a Dra. Natália representou a EIA no Congresso Europeu da EUPHE, realizado em Paris.

Sob o tema “EUPHE 2030: Collaborative Actions for Our Network”, o evento reuniu representantes de instituições de vários países europeus para promover a cooperação internacional, a partilha de boas práticas e o desenvolvimento de novas oportunidades de colaboração.

A participação neste congresso reforça o nosso compromisso da com a internacionalização, o fortalecimento das redes europeias e a promoção de projetos que contribuam para a inovação, a educação e o impacto social à escala internacional.

Agradecemos à EUPHE e aos organizadores pela oportunidade de participar neste importante encontro europeu e de continuar a construir pontes para futuras colaborações.

Last week, Dr. Natália represented EIA at the European Congress of EUPHE, held in Paris.

Under the theme “EUPHE 2030: Collaborative Actions for Our Network”, the event brought together representatives from institutions across Europe to foster international cooperation, exchange good practices, and develop new opportunities for collaboration.

Participation in this congress reflects the commitment to internationalisation, strengthening European networks, and promoting projects that contribute to innovation, education, and social impact on an international scale.

Na semana passada estivemos em Berlim para a 2.ª Reunião Transnacional do projeto E-LEAD, acolhida pela GISMA University ✨

Durante dois dias, reunimo-nos com os parceiros para acompanhar o desenvolvimento do projeto, partilhar ideias e alinhar os próximos passos. A agenda incluiu momentos de trabalho sobre a análise de necessidades, o desenvolvimento curricular, a plataforma de e-learning baseada em IA, o programa de formação para formadores e as estratégias de disseminação e sustentabilidade.

Foi também uma excelente oportunidade para reforçar a colaboração entre parceiros, visitar o campus da GISMA e continuar a trabalhar em soluções inovadoras para a educação e formação. 🤝💡

Last week, we were in Berlin for the 2nd Transnational Project Meeting of the E-LEAD project, hosted by GISMA University ✨

Over two days, partners came together to follow up on the project’s progress, share ideas and align the next steps. The agenda included working sessions on the needs analysis, curriculum development, the AI-powered e-learning platform, the training programme for trainers, and dissemination and sustainability strategies.

It was also a great opportunity to strengthen cooperation between partners, visit the GISMA campus and continue working on innovative solutions for education and training. 🤝💡

We are excited for the next steps of E-LEAD! 🚀

✈️ Na semana passada, o Professor Dr. Rui Castro e Quadros deslocou-se aos Estados Unidos, no âmbito do programa Erasmus+ KA171, para uma visita institucional à Lewis University.

Ao longo da semana, participou em várias reuniões e atividades académicas focadas no reforço da cooperação entre as duas instituições, incluindo encontros com equipas de International Affairs, seminários interculturais, visitas às infraestruturas de aviação da universidade e momentos de partilha com estudantes e docentes.

A visita permitiu aprofundar oportunidades de colaboração internacional, mobilidade académica e desenvolvimento de futuras iniciativas conjuntas nas áreas da educação, aviação e inovação.

Um agradecimento especial à Lewis University pela forma tão acolhedora como recebeu o Professor Rui Castro e Quadros ao longo desta mobilidade. Foi uma excelente oportunidade para reforçar laços, partilhar experiências e continuar a construir esta parceria internacional. 🌍

✈️ Last week, Professor Rui Castro e Quadros visited Lewis University in the United States במסגרת the Erasmus+ KA171 programme.

Throughout the week, he took part in several institutional and academic activities aimed at strengthening the collaboration between both institutions, including meetings with International Affairs teams, intercultural seminars, visits to Lewis University’s aviation facilities, and networking moments with students and academic staff.

This mobility opportunity contributed to exploring new possibilities for international cooperation, academic exchange, and future joint initiatives in the fields of education, aviation, and innovation.

A special thank you to Lewis University for the warm welcome and hospitality throughout Professor Rui Castro e Quadros’ mobility visit. It was a valuable opportunity to strengthen connections, exchange experiences, and continue building this international partnership. 🌍

We are currently in Morocco, taking part in the StudyCare International Education Fair! ✨

During these days, we are participating in the three scheduled activities: the education fair in Casablanca, the education fair in Rabat, and the school visits in Casablanca.

This has been a great opportunity to connect directly with students, families, schools and education professionals, present our academic offer, answer questions about studying in Portugal, and strengthen our international presence. 🌍🎓
