BIP LATVIA 2024 🇦🇹 ✈️

🇬🇧 From the extensive collaboration between ISCAP: namely CEI (translated for Intercultural Studies Center) and the Masters in Intercultural Studies for Business, and University of Latvia, the researchers Clara Sarmento, Carina Cerqueira, and Inês Pires, as well as the students Nuno Ribeiro, Noémia Cá and Guilherme Cavalcanti, have participated in the Erasmus + Blended Intensive Program (BIP).

The program "Research Skills Booster" lasted two weeks, with a mix of both virtual and in person sessions, taking place in Riga, Latvia.
The BIP gathered different scholars and lecturers from all over the world: Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Latvia and Portugal.
The promotion of intercultural contact, different research methodology approaches, questions of design, technology, linguistics and overall digital innovation where some of the key topics from the different sessions.

Along with the BIP, participants also were able to attend the 6th International Symposium on Language for International Communication (LINCS), in Riga.

🇵🇹 Fruto da extensa colaboração entre o ISCAP, nomeadamente o CEI (Centro de Estudos Interculturais) e o Mestrado em Estudos Interculturais para Negócios, e a Universidade da Letónia, as investigadoras Clara Sarmento, Carina Cerqueira e Inês Pires, em conjunto com os estudantes Nuno Ribeiro, Noémia Cá e Guilherme Cavalcanti, participaram no Programa Intensivo Misto (BIP em inglês), da Erasmus +.

O programa "Desenvolvimento de Competências de Investigação" (traduzido), teve a duração de duas semanas, num regime misto, ambos virtual e presencial, cuja qual teve lugar em Riga.
O BIP reuniu estudantes e professores de diversos países por todo mundo, nomeadamente: Polónia, Letónia, Lituânia, Roménia e Portugal.
O evento proporcionou uma oportunidade de contacto intercultural, e alguns dos principais tópicos abordados foram diferentes perspetivas de metodologias de investigação, questões relacionadas com design, tecnologia, linguística, e inovação digital.

Para além do BIP, os participantes usufruiram da oportunidade de participarem no 6° Simpósio Internacional de Línguas para Comunicação Internacional (LINCS), em Riga

Teste de Proficiência Linguística 🗣🌍

Pronto/a para mais um desafio? Demonstra a tua capacidade linguística e poderás obter um comprovativo de nível de língua. (Nível Mínimo: B2).

Poderás optar entre o dia 28 de fevereiro ou 6 de março para a realização do teste, que decorrerá no LAB 1 (sala 221).

No caso de teres um certificado de um instituto de línguas, com nível B2 ou superior, também é reconhecido, e poderás enviar por email, ao nosso endereço: [email protected]

Mobilidade de Estágio Extra- Curricular🇪🇺 🌍
(Recém-Diplomados)

Estão abertas candidaturas para mobilidade de estágios ERASMUS+, a executar no ano letivo 2024/25, ( 1°S, 2°S, e ano letivo completo) com a duração mínima de 2 meses,  a realizar até 30 de setembro de 2025.

Os interessados deverão consultar a informação sobre elegibilidade e requisitos e oportunidades de estágio na nossa página web e submeter a pré-candidatura através do formulário online até às 23h59 do próximo dia 29 de fevereiro.
⚠️ Candidaturas condicionadas às bolsas existentes

Os estudantes que prevejam terminar a licenciatura ou o mestrado no ano letivo 2023/24, podem candidatar-se e realizar um estágio extra curricular após a sua conclusão, desde que não estejam inscritos noutro curso. (com a duração dos meses disponíveis para mobilidade ERASMUS+, até 12 meses por ciclo de estudos).

A mobilidade ERASMUS+ é muito reconhecida pelas empresas. São muitos os casos de alunos que tiveram oportunidades profissionais muito atrativas, devido à sua experiência de mobilidade, também do ISCAP.

🇵🇹 O ISCAP acolheu no dia 14 de fevereiro, no primeiro dia da Semana de Orientação, mais 120 estudantes ERASMUS 🇪🇺 e de mobilidade que estudarão connosco no 2º semestre.

Após a sessão de Boas-Vindas, a COMAP- Comissão de Apadrinhamento do ISCAP organizou um Picnic e o habitual passeio de barco e visita às caves do Vinho do Porto. O primeiro dia terminou com um momento descontraído ao por-do-sol, no jardim do Morro.

A Semana de Orientação continua até sexta-feira, com mais atividades de socialização, informação académica e orientação na cidade e no ISCAP.

🇬🇧 On February 14, the first day of the Orientation Week, ISCAP welcomed another 120 ERASMUS 🇪🇺 and mobility students who will be studying with us in the summer semester.

After the Welcome Session, COMAP- Committee for International Students organized a picnic and the usual boat trip and visit to the Port wine cellars. The first day ended with a relaxed moment at sunset in the Morro garden.

The Orientation Week continues until Friday, with more socializing momentos, academic information and orienteering activities in the city and at ISCAP.

Happy Valentines Day ❤️

Long Distance Relationships, be it romantically, friendly, or work-oriented, are becoming more common, mainly due to Globalization and new means of digital communication, also present in traditional means such as letters (pen pals), etc.
They present a wonderful opportunity to learn about different parts of the world, or even of one's own country.
Overall, they allow us to have a unique connection with people we would otherwise not have met, due to the distance.
At ISCAP's GRI, we believe those partnerships are to be cherished and appreciated, considering all of our international friends and people from all over Portugal we met along the way.
We love you, and want you to grow together with us!
