“Tennis elbow” (outside pain) and “golfer’s elbow” (inside pain) hit office warriors, DIY-ers, gardeners, gamers—basically anyone who repeats small forearm motions. The usual recipe—rest, braces, pain-killers—treats the symptoms, not the movement error underneath.

🥋 Enter Okinawa Sindo Ryu Karate
Because Sindo Ryu trains the whole kinetic chain (fingers-to-feet), its classical drills re-educate the elbow to transfer force instead of absorbing it. Below are four crowd-favorites we use in class:

🌀 Spiral Kata – controlled wrist-elbow-shoulder rotations inside rooted stances re-tension tendons without flare-ups.

🔗 Isometric “Power-Line” Punches – partner holds your fist, you drive it 1 cm while locking your core; the elbow transmits force rather than eating it.

🏺 Grip-Jar Walks (Nigiri-game) – sand-filled jars during footwork build perfectly balanced flexor/extensor strength.

🪵 Makiwara Taps – feather-light strikes on a padded board trigger gentle tendon remodeling for long-term resilience.

Sometimes I hear my Okinawa Karate Sindo Ryu classes are too tough 💪, driving students away 😞. People suggest I make them easier 🌈 so students stay longer and learn more. I disagree 🙅‍♂️. Easy karate, even over decades, teaches nothing real—just an illusion of self-defense 🥋✨. I choose the hard Path of Truth 🛤️. My students can rise to the challenge 🔥, or seek an easier road elsewhere 🚶‍♂️. But mastery doesn’t come from ease 🏆. "

Karate Jutsu by Sensei Vinicio Antony is an interesting mix of Japanese Shotokan Karate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA.
As an instructor of the ancient Okinawan traditional karate school Sindo-ryu, I was interested in learning about other interpretations of karate-jutsu.

Okinawa Karate Sindo ryu incorporates both ideas of karate: Karate-do and Karate Jutsu. Karate-do is the path of self-improvement through the practice of karate
