CarboNostrum is an Erasmus+ project that’s going to develop an educational platform about land management practices capable of ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources and the capture of atmospheric carbon dioxide under Mediterranean soils. “Climate Change is unarguably the most complex issue that humanity has ever faced: its origin is linked to the very early stages of human impact on th

e natural environment, and the social, cultural and economic disparities it has sprung over the last few centuries. Even though it is a global issue, the responsibility and negative impacts are not globally distributed: the most ecologically fragile landscapes will suffer the most and earliest, furthering the vulnerability already existing and enhanced by the last few centuries of history.”

Following our recent cross-promotion collaboration announcement, we are pleased to introduce MedSEVa, an Erasmus+ project focused on the sustainable valorisation of Mediterranean bushland and maquis ecosystems through education, innovation and storytelling.

By combining scientific knowledge, Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) and sustainability-focused learning approaches, the project promotes greener skills, environmental awareness and more resilient rural communities and economies.

MedSEVa also develops innovative digital resources, including StoryMaps, documentaries, podcasts and educational materials connected to Mediterranean ecosystems and sustainability practices.
