The atmosphere at the Ashi show was amazing and the team of hairdressers are an hour out to work alongside, I felt feeling inspired and fulfilled.
So nice to work with Karoliina Saunders as we worked on our models together.

THE CREATIVE RETREAT
The people in the room are such a big part of what makes The Creative Retreat what it is.
This group of incredible artists arrived with open minds, curiosity and a willingness to allow themselves to feel vulnerable.
Every person was already accomplished in their own right. They came with different ambitions and goals, completely different points of view and aesthetics, and their own ideas about where they wanted their creativity to take them.
And that is exactly how it should be.
There is no one definition of success. There is no right creative path. The most interesting work comes when we stop looking sideways and start understanding what feels authentic to us.
What connected everyone in the room was their passion for this industry and the creativity inside them.
They were willing to question themselves, share ideas, listen to perspectives completely different from their own and give something of themselves to the experience.
Because creativity doesn’t exist in isolation.
We need to live more, read more, look more, experience more. We need to fill our own cup so that we have something to pour into our work and into each other.
Over two days, I watched conversations spark new ideas. Different perspectives challenge old thinking. People encourage each other to go further with an idea rather than make it smaller.
The Creative Retreat has a programme, but every group changes the experience because of what they bring into the room.
And this group brought so much.
Thank you to every artist who trusted the process, shared so openly and contributed their own perspective, experience and creativity.
You made these two days what they were.
And I hope you left remembering that the creativity you are looking for is already inside you. Sometimes you just need to make space for it.

It continues long after the retreat, supporting your ideas and reminding you that you do not have to build your creative life alone.

On 26th and 27th July in London, is bringing together a small group of hairdressers for two days dedicated to creativity, mindset and reconnecting with the person behind the work.
Through mindfulness, somatic movement and practical tools for managing overthinking, pressure and procrastination, you learn how to come back into your body, quieten some of the noise and create from a clearer, more confident place.
This isn’t a cutting class or a colour class. It’s an experience designed to help you understand how your creativity works, where to find inspiration, how to turn it into ideas that feel genuinely your own and, ultimately, how to be creative every day.
Over two days, we explore creative identity, concept development, moodboarding, trend psychology, visual storytelling, creative direction, social media and personal branding.
The retreat is for freelancers, salon owners, educators and hairdressers at every stage of their career who want to develop a stronger creative identity and bring more meaning and originality into their work. It’s for those who want to create collections, enter competitions, plan shoots, strengthen their content, attract the right clients or simply feel more inspired and creatively fulfilled behind the chair.
