Durante vários dias, Lisboa foi ponto de encontro para investigadores de todo o mundo, que partilharam conhecimento nas áreas do multilinguismo, ensino de línguas e desenvolvimento linguístico ao longo da vida.

the Linguistics Research Centre of NOVA University Lisbon (CLUNL) hosted EuroSLA 35, the largest international conference dedicated to second language acquisition — and, for the first time, held in Portugal.

Over several days, Lisbon became a meeting point for researchers from around the world, who shared knowledge in the fields of multilingualism, language teaching, and language development across the lifespan.

PT | Investigadoras do CLUNL estiveram presentes no RALFe 9, em Paris 📢

Ana Castro e Joana Miguel, do grupo LiFE (CLUNL), participaram no workshop Allomorphy across Grammar, integrado no encontro científico Rencontres Autour de la Linguistique Formelle 9 (RALFe 9), realizado no dia 3 de junho de 2026, em Paris.

No âmbito deste evento, apresentaram a comunicação:
“Allomorph competition in the acquisition of European Portuguese plural inflection: evidence from pseudoword production”, contribuindo para o debate científico na área da aquisição da linguagem e da Linguística Formal.

A edição de 2026 do RALFe foi organizada conjuntamente pela Université Paris Cité e pela Université Paris 8, reunindo especialistas internacionais de referência na área da Linguística Formal.

Esta participação reforça o envolvimento do CLUNL em redes internacionais de investigação e a sua contribuição para o avanço do conhecimento científico.

Researchers Ana Castro and Joana Miguel, from the LiFE group (CLUNL), took part in the workshop Allomorphy across Grammar, held within the scientific meeting Rencontres Autour de la Linguistique Formelle 9 (RALFe 9), on June 3, 2026, in Paris.

As part of this event, they presented the paper:
“Allomorph competition in the acquisition of European Portuguese plural inflection: evidence from pseudoword production”, contributing to the scientific discussion in the fields of language acquisition and Formal Linguistics.

The 2026 edition of RALFe was jointly organized by Université Paris Cité and Université Paris 8, bringing together leading international experts in the field of Formal Linguistics.

This participation reinforces CLUNL’s engagement in international research networks and its contribution to advancing scientific knowledge.

Compreender dados de saúde complexos continua a ser um dos grandes desafios da investigação e da inovação em saúde.

No âmbito do Hereditary Project , foi lançado o novo Demos & Visualisation Components Portal, desenvolvido no âmbito do Work Package 5 (WP5), sob coordenação da Technische Universität Graz, que reúne ferramentas de visual analytics capazes de transformar dados multimodais (imagem médica, genómica, microbioma, entre outros) em informação mais acessível e compreensível.

A plataforma integra 15 demonstradores interativos, explorando abordagens inovadoras à análise de dados, visualização biomédica e interpretabilidade de modelos de inteligência artificial.

Understanding complex health data remains one of the major challenges in research and healthcare innovation.

Within the Hereditary Project , the new Demos & Visualisation Components Portal has been launched. Developed within Work Package 5 (WP5) and coordinated by Technische Universität Graz, the portal brings together visual analytics tools capable of transforming multimodal data (medical imaging, genomics, microbiome data, among others) into more accessible and understandable information.

The platform includes 15 interactive demonstrators, showcasing innovative approaches to data analysis, biomedical data visualization, and the interpretability of artificial intelligence models.
