Do You Want to Discover How the First Regular Milonga in Portugal Began?

This milonga remained active from September 1998 until November 1999 and became a massive dance gathering place, bringing together lovers of tango, salsa and kizomba.

The space was a café-concert venue, with a stage and two dance studios.

In April 1999, Dance Factory and the CCB became the venues for the first encounter with a great master of Argentine Tango in Portugal, produced by Alejandro Laguna and Solange Galvão, featuring Carlos Borquez and Norma Yacono.

These Argentine milonga nights introduced an entirely new audience to tango and brought the bohemian spirit of the Buenos Aires milongas to the city of Lisbon — nights with no fixed ending time, where tango continued until dawn.

Estas noites argentinas de milonga trouxeram um público completamente novo para o tango e transportaram a boémia das milongas de Buenos Aires para a cidade de Lisboa — noites sem hora para terminar, onde o tango continuava até de madrugada.

With me, you will learn how the body organizes tango while dancing, even through its simplest movements.
In my classes, you will come into contact with an inner language of the body and the embrace that often cannot be easily perceived from the outside, yet from which a way of walking, listening to the music, and relating to the other person on the dance floor is born.
You will learn how to be emotionally moved through dance…

Hello, how are you? I invite you to join my tango classes and share the dance of my city and my roots, where you’ll come to understand tango more through what is felt than through what is seen.

Sundays at 19:15, Teatro A Barraca, in Santos.

Today we have a Tango class at 7:15 pm with Ale Laguna from Buenos Aires.
You’ll learn to dance tango as it feels, not just as it looks.

In the video, one of my students dancing to the orchestra of Juan D’Arienzo — beautiful use of the music, with cadence and improvisation in a small space.

Come discover our classes and enjoy Argentine Tango.

And from 9:00 pm, the milonga begins.
