The Chair of Innovation and Intellectual Property Policy at EPFL, Lausanne, invites applications for a full-time PhD student position funded through an SNSF Ambizione grant. The project will focus on the effect of researcher mobility on research productivity.
We seek a young researcher with a strong background in Economics although other, exceptional, profiles may be considered. As the project relies upon a wide variety of data sets, we expect the student to develop proficiency with Python, databases, and basic data science skills through the course of her or his research, but such skills are absolutely not a prerequisite.
We expect
An excellent masters level degree, preferably in Economics. Other quantitative fields (ex. Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science) will also be considered.
A sincere interest in the economics of science.
Proficiency in English, strong team spirit, creativity, and independence.
For candidates with a background in Economics, a sound mathematical/econometric and/or programming background is a plus.
For candidates without a background in Economics, a sound mathematical and programming background is expected.

As is typical, the PhD position will span 4 years including mandatory doctoral coursework. Dissertation, coursework, and student projects will all be in English. The successful candidate, regardless of background, will be expected to complete the intensive Gerzensee doctoral program. A starting date of September 15, 2017 is expected, but it may be possible to start as early as June 1, 2017 in the role of Research Assistant.

Final Step: After getting visa according to our agreement you have to pay the rest of the payments.
Total Cost : 7000 Euro or 6.5 lac BD TK ( Including one year tuition fee + all others Cost)

Package Exclude : Air Ticket + Hand Cash .
