At Mom and Me, it’s all about movement!

The development of motor skills is one of the most important foundations during the early years. Through free and guided movement, children build confidence, independence, coordination, balance, and body awareness.

When we learn to control our bodies, we begin to understand and regulate our minds. And what better way to learn than through play, exploration, laughter, and movement?

Here, we roll on the floor, climb, crawl, jump, dance, explore, and discover the world together.

Our Playgroup welcomes children with or without the presence of parents or caregivers, always respecting each family’s rhythm and needs.

O desenvolvimento das capacidades motoras é uma das bases mais importantes nestas idades. Através do movimento livre e orientado, as crianças constroem autonomia, confiança, coordenação, equilíbrio e consciência corporal.

Quando aprendemos a controlar o nosso corpo, começamos também a organizar e regular a nossa mente. E que melhor forma de aprender do que através da brincadeira, da descoberta, do riso e do movimento?

Aqui rebolamos no chão, trepamos, gatinhamos, saltamos, dançamos, exploramos e descobrimos o mundo juntos.

O nosso Playgroup recebe crianças com ou sem acompanhamento dos pais ou cuidadores, respeitando sempre o ritmo e as necessidades de cada família.

To celebrate, we had a very special party with our little ones and their families. What a joy it was to come together and celebrate childhood, family, and all the wonderful moments we share!!!

At Mom and Me, we truly believe that childhood should be slow, joyful and filled with meaningful moments.

Our playgroup was created with the idea that babies and young children thrive when they can experience the best of both worlds: the comfort and security of home, together with the socialisation, learning and gentle stimulation of a nurturing school environment.

From Monday to Friday, between 9:00am and 1:00pm, our little ones enjoy magical mornings full of discovery, creativity, movement and friendship. Through play, music, baby yoga, stories, sensory experiences and free exploration, children learn naturally with curiosity, confidence and happiness.

We strongly believe that, whenever possible, children benefit enormously from a part-time school routine during their early years. Having shorter mornings at school allows babies and toddlers to socialise, develop independence and build important emotional and cognitive skills, while still preserving precious time at home with family, rest and slower daily rhythms.

At Mom and Me, many of our babies only transition to full-time school around the age of 3, respecting each child’s natural development and emotional readiness. We believe childhood is not a race. The early years should be filled with affection, connection, freedom to play and time to simply be little.

These are the mornings where friendships begin, confidence grows and childhood is celebrated in the most beautiful way.

There are brands that truly capture our hearts and with them, their beautiful stories too… I met Silvia at an event for entrepreneurial mothers, and from that very moment I knew a partnership would make perfect sense!

LEFKOT, in truth, has always existed.

Even before it had a name.
Even before the very first piece was created.

It began many years ago, in the hands of our grandparents.

Our grandmother worked as a yarn winder.
Our grandfather worked on textile looms.
And that is where everything began.

Later, our parents created a garment manufacturing company, and we grew up surrounded by machines, fabrics, threads, and the daily rhythm of production.

As children, we learned without truly realizing the value of hard work, attention to detail, and dedication.

Life took us down different paths for some time, but textiles never left us.

Because there are things that become part of who we are.
And this story was already running through our family long before LEFKOT existed on paper.

And that is how we gave a name to something that, deep down, had always existed.

By bringing together the family names “Leite Félix” and “Costa Teixeira”, LEFKOT was born.

When we became parents for the second time, everything gained an even deeper meaning.

We felt the desire to create something of our own.
Something with identity, emotion, and truth.
A brand that could unite our entire story with the world of childhood.

And so, Little LEFKOT was born.

A brand born from generations connected to textiles, but also from love for childhood, family, creativity, and the freedom of being a child.

Today, every piece continues to be created and producedby us, in Portugal, within our own manufacturing company.

With hands, stories, and emotions passed down from generation to generation.

Because, to us, Little LEFKOT is not just a brand.
It is the continuation of our family story.

Through touch, eye contact, breathing and movement, babies strengthen one of the most important things in early childhood: connection.
Touch helps babies feel safe, calm and emotionally regulated. It supports bonding, builds trust and even helps neurological and sensory development.
In partner exercises, hugs, gentle movements and shared breathing moments create a feeling of security and closeness that is essential for healthy emotional growth🌿
Breathing together helps to slow down, relax and connect deeply in the present moment!
These moments of affection and presence become powerful tools for emotional wellbeing!

A nossa aula de Baby Yoga hoje foi dedicada ao trabalho a pares… e que manhã especial 🤍
Através do toque, do olhar, da respiração e do movimento, os bebés, fortalecem uma das bases mais importantes da infância: a ligação emocional.
O toque ajuda os bebés a sentirem-se seguros, calmos e emocionalmente regulados. Promove o vínculo, fortalece a confiança e contribui para o desenvolvimento neurológico e sensorial.
Nos exercícios a pares, os abraços, os movimentos suaves e os momentos de respiração conjunta criam uma sensação de segurança e proximidade essencial para um crescimento emocional saudável!
Respirar em conjunto ajuda as crianças a desacelerar, relaxar e conectar-se verdadeiramente ao momento presente.
São momentos de presença e afecto que se transformam em ferramentas muito poderosas para o bem-estar emocional dos bebés e também dos crescidos.

Mom and Me has grown, changed, and watched so many babies grow up… families have come and gone, yet somehow nobody ever truly leaves this family !!!

The connection, the love and the bonds created here are some of the most beautiful things I have ever experienced.
There are not enough words to thank these wonderful teachers who make this place so special… true baby fairies, filling this house with love, patience, joy and magic every single day 💛

And for me… coming to work every day fills my heart completely.
