Very proud to announce that our latest research paper, “Cloistered Knowledge Capture and Retrieval: Offline LLMs and Vector Search for Enterprise,” was presented at the IEEE SIST 2025 Conference in Astana!

It was an honour to also deliver a plenary keynote address at the event, contributing to the global conversation on AI, enterprise knowledge management, and the future of offline large language models.

Grateful to IEEE for the platform, Astana IT University and to all the researchers and attendees who made it such a thought-provoking experience.

Knowledge management systems (KMS) have allowed enterprise to bring innovative product and service offerings rapidly to market. The adoption and use of KMS’s demand substantial resources and investment and are subsequently aimed at large enterprise. Contrastingly, the micro enterprise and its inherent limited resources prohibit the adoption of existing KMS’s. My current research characterizes the salient attributes of micro enterprise, establishes how it informally manages knowledge, and identifies the barriers it faces in implementing and using existing KMS’s.
