Conference Protecting Online Users: The Past, Present, and Future of Cookie Regulation

The Data Protection Observatory, in collaboration with the South EU Google Data Governance Chair, will host the conference “Protecting Online Users: The Past, Present, and Future of Cookie Regulation” on October 11th.
This international event brings together academics, regulators, associations, and other stakeholders in the digital economy for a discussion focused on cookie regulation.
Since the European Commission presented the draft e-Privacy Regulation in 2017, the topic seems to have stagnated, despite the recognized importance of this regulatory area in the daily lives of individuals and organizations. The main goal of this conference is to revisit the subject and provide an update on the current situation.
