Information about Residence Permit (Within Two Month) in Portugal by Study

There are two suitable way to get Portuguese Residence Permit /Card

1. Residence permits By work (Article 88.2).
Procedure: ( Manage job> Continue your Job and pay social security > SEF Entry> Get Appointment from SEF> SEF will take fingerprint and Issue residence Card.
Everybody already knows about this process.
Duration: Now a day’s its take around 1.5 or 2 years to get Residence Card.

2. Residence permits By Study (Article -91).
Procedure: (Admission at University (public / private)> SEF appointment> SEF will take fingerprint and issue residence card.
Duration: After Getting Admission only one/two month.

Advantage of Student Residence Permit:
1. Student residence card holder can enjoy all facility like Normal Residence card holder(Article 88.2)
2. After Getting Admission can get Residence card within one/two month.
3. Student can work full time.
4. After 5 years can apply for Portuguese nationality.
5. Student can bring his/her family in Portugal
6. Student can convert his status from study to work.
7. And All others facilities.
