That is why I think it is very important to promote mother tongues around the whole world.
Preservation of the mother tongue does not exclude knowledge or learning of other foreign languages, but on the contrary. Good knowledge and understanding of the mother tongue will help in learning other, foreign languages.
Our language is actually our identity. The mother language plays a crucial role in shaping an individual's personality as well as his or her psychological development, thoughts and emotions

Trenutno se u svijetu govori oko 6.000 jezika, a prema upozorenjima lingvista, postoji pretnja da će se do kraja 21. vijeka, ovaj broj upola smanjiti, upravo usljed odumiranja maternjih jezika. Zbog toga mislim da je jako važno promovisanje maternjih jezika širom svijeta.
Očuvanje maternjeg jezika ne isključuje poznavanja ili učenje drugih stranih jezika, već naprotiv. Dobro poznavanje maternjeg jezika će pomoći u učenju drugih, stranih jezika.
Naš maternji jezik je usvari naš identitet. Meternji jezik igra presudnu ulogu u oblikovanju ličnosti pojedinaca, kao i njegovog psihološkog razvoja, misli i osjećaja.
