WOOL WORKSHOP IN FREIXO DA SERRA
Saturday, August 26, from 10 am to 6 pm
It is a day dedicated to transforming wool into textile products. At the public washhouse in Freixo da Serra, we'll learn all about the manual techniques used to turn wool into yarn and felt, using wool from Serra da Estrela sheep sheared in 2023.
The day's program (10 am to 6 pm) includes:
- Washing the wool
- Carding
- Spinning
- Felting
