So much of what Wedding Filmmaker Workshop becomes each year is shaped by the people documenting it as it unfolds. Hannah, Josh, Jess, and Cheyanne are a huge part of that.
Hannah, our workshop photographer, Hannah Brooke | Destination Wedding Photographer has photographed every single WFW since the very beginning. She is endlessly talented, deeply kind, and the kind of warm, encouraging presence every creative hopes to have around.
Josh, our filmmaker for Portugal from Josh & Emma Birman brings both experience and familiarity to the team, having both attended and worked Wedding Filmmaker Workshop and films alongside Emma K Films at several weddings.
Jess from Fika Studio | Social Media & Content Creation serves as our content creator and communications manager throughout the week, with an eye for aesthetics that is entirely her own and a presence that brings so much joy to the experience.
And Cheyanne, of Katie // business support for wedding creatives , has now been with WFW for six workshops, leading social coverage throughout the week so that many of the exciting stories, photos, and behind-the-scenes moments are shared in real time.
I can’t say thank you enough to my team for their care, talent, and consistency they bring to WFW. It wouldn’t be anywhere it is without them.

Looking back through all of these Dallas galleries and wishing I could rewind the week. 🤍 What an incredible group of people, and what a special few days it was. Feeling especially grateful for everyone who showed up, shared, created, laughed, and made Dallas what it was.
Today, I am wishing I was back there with you all.

Florals across all four Portugal styled shoots will be led by Brancoprata , the creative studio behind some of the most distinctive floral and visual work in the destination wedding and editorial space.
Founded in 2003, Branco Prata works at the intersection of floral design, styling, and image-making, creating work that feels both refined and untamed, always with a clear commitment to elegance untouched by passing fads.
Their perspective brings depth, movement, and identity to a space, and we could not imagine a more fitting floral partner for the four worlds we’re building in Portugal.

You never know what kind of weather or backdrop you’ll have at WFW. Learning to adapt, create, and tell a story in whatever conditions you’re given is part of what makes you a stronger filmmaker.
As filmmakers, we don’t get to choose the weather on a wedding day. We learn to embrace it, find the light that’s there, and create something meaningful regardless of the circumstances.
That’s what WFW is all about. Not chasing perfect conditions, but developing the confidence, creativity, and experience to make something beautiful with whatever you’re given. The most memorable work often comes from the moments you never could have planned.
Every destination has its own story to tell, and every workshop challenges us in a different way. We can’t wait to see what Portugal has in store for us very soon and to create alongside an incredible group of filmmakers in whatever conditions await us.

If it’s one thing we love during WFW - it’s making memories together!
I just booked the excursion for Portugal next April 5th–9th, 2027, and I CANNOT wait. Planning this experience already feels unreal. Getting to explore Portugal alongside our incredible group is going to be something so special.
Now here’s the big question… 👀
I’ve been debating whether I should reveal the excursion details early or keep it a surprise and let everyone find out when we arrive. There’s something so fun about the anticipation and the excitement of experiencing it all together for the first time.
But I need your help deciding…
Should I reveal what the excursion is, or should we keep it a surprise until we’re there? Vote below 👇

One of the biggest decisions I make when planning a workshop happens long before the details, florals, or tablescapes—it’s choosing the venue.
Every styled shoot is designed with intention because I want attendees to leave with work that actually helps them book weddings. That means creating films in spaces that couples are genuinely getting married in, not just locations that look beautiful on social media.
From historic estates to coastal venues, elegant hotels to intimate gardens, experiencing a variety of settings gives filmmakers the confidence to adapt, create, and tell meaningful stories wherever a wedding day takes them. The goal isn’t just to capture beautiful content for a weekend—it’s to build a portfolio that reflects the kind of weddings you want to attract for years to come.
A great workshop should prepare you for real wedding days, and that starts with choosing locations that make your education as valuable as your portfolio.

There is a rare kind of atmosphere that fabric can create in the right hands, and has made that her signature.
As the drape artist behind two of our styled shoots in Portugal, Mia brings a sculptural, emotionally led approach to textiles, working with reclaimed materials, natural dyes, movement, and negative space to transform rooms into something far more immersive.
An internationally acclaimed artist and educator, her work has been seen at Tate Modern, SKETCH, Selfridges, and London Fashion Week, as well as in leading luxury wedding and design publications.
We are incredibly honored to have her artistry become part of these shoots in Portugal.

There’s always something new to learn.
One of the things I love most about filmmaking is that no matter how many weddings, stories, or projects you’ve documented, there’s always another skill to refine, another perspective to consider, and another way to grow.
With WFW, I’m so grateful for the opportunity to help others with their skills, diving deeper into the craft of storytelling through motion. Investing in education isn’t just about improving your work; it’s about staying curious, pushing creative boundaries, and continuing to serve clients at the highest level.
The learning never stops, and that’s exactly what makes this work so rewarding.
