I just left Marrakesh and now I’m in Lisbon! Very different vibe and different environment and scenery. I love them both. Great balance of the energy and pulse and excitement in Marrakesh. Calm and quiet and green in Lisbon. And honestly, I need both types of energy. This is a beautiful park where I love to come and read and journal. Definitely worth a visit. And I highly recommend the Marrakesh and Lisbon journey. More than just Touring. It’s a holistic experience defeat your soul.

For many of us Black people, dreaming is not simple.
We have spent generations surviving.
Assessing risk.
Reading rooms.
Managing harm.
Preparing for disappointment.
Trying to stay safe in systems that were never designed for our freedom.
Survival teaches us to think first.
To calculate first.
To shrink possibility down to what feels realistic.
But dreaming matters.
Because every movement toward liberation began with someone imagining a world that did not yet exist.
A world where Black people could rest.
Belong.
Breathe deeply.
Move without fear.
Live without anti-Black racism.
Exist beyond performance and survival.
Not a world that is just “slightly different.”
A fundamentally different world.
That kind of dreaming can feel uncomfortable at first.
Even impossible.
But imagination is not frivolous.
It is resistance.
It is healing.
It is world-building.
That’s part of what we’re doing in YAIT Town.
We are practicing imagination together.
Practicing sanctuary.
Practicing culture.
Practicing community.
Building spaces where Black life is centered, protected, joyful, complicated, creative, and free.
So come dream with us.
Imagine with us.
Practice the world we deserve.
You ain’t imagining this.

Have you ever walked into a room…
and somehow disappeared?
Not because you were quiet.
Not because you lacked brilliance.
But because the world decided not to see you.
Tonight in YAIT Town, we tell a story about invisibility — and what happens when we refuse it. Listen now in the LINK IN MY BIO 🎧

YAIT TOWN = A sanctuary rooted in Black truth, courage, and power.
I created YAIT TOWN for my Black folks — yes, you.
A place where we feel like family.
A place where we ain’t questioned, gaslit, or erased.
A place where we belong, where we matter, where we exist in our full truth.
YAIT TOWN is our community, our corner of the world where Black stories are centered, Black voices are believed, and Black healing is the priority.
If you’ve ever felt unseen out there… come on home.
We built this together.

We’ve all heard of Black Friday…
but Black Is Beautiful Friday is something different — and something ours.
Black Friday is about rushing, buying, and giving your energy away.
Black Is Beautiful Friday is about resting, remembering, and pouring back into yourself and your community.
Here are 10 ways to celebrate Black Is Beautiful Friday:
1. Visit a Black bookstore — buy a book or just sit and breathe with the stories.
2. Support a Black-owned business — small, intentional, and joyful.
3. Light a candle for your ancestors — say their names out loud.
4. Rest without guilt — deep, intentional rest as a form of resistance.
5. Make a joy playlist — all Black music, all day.
6. Do one act of community care — donate food, books, or warmth.
7. Spend time with Black art — online or in person.
8. Write a reflection or prayer for your own freedom and wellbeing.
9. Eat something that connects you to home — a cultural dish that nourishes memory.
10. Tell someone you love that you’re grateful for them — connection is protection.
Black Friday drains.
Black Is Beautiful Friday restores.
Rest, joy, truth, and community —
that’s the beauty of being Black.
You ain’t imagining this.
