Today we celebrated King’s Day the Dutch way!

Our students took part in a vibrant and joyful “Vrije Markt” (Free Market), bringing items from home and setting up their own small stands. Using our school Tisa coins, they experienced both sides of the process..buying, selling, making choices, and interacting with one another in a fun and meaningful way.

The market was full of wonderful items, including toys, books, games, and creative finds, all shared with care and enthusiasm. Alongside the market, students enjoyed traditional-style games and a lively food stand with refreshing drinks and treats, creating a truly festive atmosphere.

It was a day full of cooperation, creativity, and real-life learning, where students developed confidence, communication, and teamwork skills while celebrating an important Dutch tradition.

🧡 A beautiful celebration filled with energy, smiles, and community spirit!

TISA School is a place full of opportunities for children. We focus on hands-on learning and encourage kids to make their own decisions and solve problems independently. These are key skills for future successful leaders.

💬 For example, right now, our students are preparing for an upcoming theater performance. In art class, we are creating the stage decorations. The kids not only design everything from scratch but also make all the set pieces themselves. Each tree and flower is carefully crafted by hand. We draw, cut, and assemble the decorations, expressing ourselves freely.

Projects like these are especially important for developing creative potential. Through experiential learning group activities, children learn to work together as a team and express themselves without fear.

💡 Why are hands-on activities and creative projects beneficial?

• We learn to share ideas and help each other: every student contributes their suggestions and visions, which are discussed and accepted by the whole group. This develops a spirit of teamwork and mutual support.
• We learn how to evenly distribute tasks: each student takes on a specific role, whether as an artist, cutter, or assembler, which helps to organize the process efficiently.
• We learn to support and inspire each other. We search for references and bring our ideas to life.

Jiu-jitsu belt ceremony at TISA School 🚀

Yesterday we held a ceremony to award grey belts in Brazilian jiu-jitsu to our little champions, and we are glad to share our results with you.

Students have been studying martial arts for a whole year and got their well-deserved award 💪

💬 A grey belt indicates that the child continues to learn and consolidate basic techniques. The main goal of training is to develop defence techniques and learn how to escape painful and choking holds.

Why do we choose jiu-jitsu as an additional sporting activity at school, and why is it useful for children?

• Keeping fit: Jiu-Jitsu helps children to become stronger, flexible and more resilient. The training includes exercises ranging from throwing to defence techniques to help kids gain better control of their bodies.
• Self-defence: the classes teach children how to defend themselves. We practice defence against punches, throws and falling techniques.
• Discipline and Respect: Jiu-Jitsu teaches children to be more resilient and patient, helping them to build trust and respect with their coach and classmates.
• Self-confidence: victories make children more confident in their abilities, while defeats teach them not to give up and to achieve their goals despite the circumstances.
• Friendship and teamwork: training in the company of classmates helps develop communication skills and teaches teamwork.

We are proud of all our students. And we hope that every parent will encourage their children to pursue their sporting goals!

TISA MBA Conference in Lisbon 🌟

We have been preparing for a long time: inventing, creating, learning how to pitch and present, so that the best students could attend today’s conference with their projects 🚀

The event was divided into 2 sections, each designed to develop different aspects of the children’s skills and potential:

1️⃣ In the first part, we held a project fair where the children had the opportunity to sell their inventions and services. This segment allowed them to build real market relationships with buyers, giving them hands-on experience of commerce and customer interaction.

2️⃣ The second part was the Startup Pitch, where participants pitched their projects to a panel of judges. This was an exciting opportunity for the kids to showcase their ideas, receive valuable feedback and compete for prizes in various categories.

📌 How was it?

Fantastic and inspiring! Our young entrepreneurs presenting and selling their innovative products to the audience. Each one was unique and interesting! The projects were divided into two age groups: 7-11 year olds and younger and were judged by a real jury in several categories.

📌 What kind of projects were there?

• Team «Smart Pusheens» and «DIY MASK» with a DIY project about sewing small pillows and art masks at a low price.
• Team «TISA Bank App»: a project of young developers presented a prototype of a new banking application designed for TISA Bank.
• Team «Funny Cooking stamps with Character» and «Teething Toys» with 3D printed baking moulds and toys: participants demonstrated their ability to use modern technology by using 3D printers, highlighting both creativity and practical application.
• Team «MINECRAFT PLAY» a project to increase student engagement and motivation.

💬 This conference not only highlighted the incredible talent of the students but also fostered an environment of learning and collaboration. We are proud of all the participants!
