My accent is known as Received Pronunciation (RP).

RP is mostly spoken in Oxford, London, in the southern areas and throughout the rest of England by other people who speak in this way.

It is the standard form of British English and its pronunciation is widely accepted as “the standard” worldwide.

An RP accent is also known as a cut-glass accent. Words are pronounced very clearly and carefully.
