Una grande manifestazione contro il razzismo con DUN in prima linea giovedì 20 marzo con il cortometraggio INTRECCI e IL FIUME DELLA VITA (ARTEMI Project)

Il cortometraggio “Welcome to the river” di Barbara Massimilla (progetto sostenuto da Fondazione Migrantes e ARTEMI Erasmus +), patrocinato da Amnesty International Italia - è stato preso al Festival Internazionale al Femminile “Sguardi Altrove”. Sarà proiettato a MILANO Mercoledì 12 marzo, ore 17.00 (IULM edificio 6, aula dei 146) -
- Sabato 29 marzo, ore 14.30 (Accademia 09) -

Celebrating Community and Creativity in Gondomar!

On August 25th, Associação Social de Silveirinhos hosted an inspiring Multiplier Event, bringing the community together to share the goals and achievements of the ArtEMI project!

Local migrant women proudly showcased their talents and entrepreneurial spirit, offering beautiful handmade embroidery, unique fashion accessories, delicious traditional sweets, and more. Many of these businesses began as ideas in our ArtEMI entrepreneurship workshops and are now thriving!

Many thanks to all the participants who joined us in celebrating these incredible women and their work!

On May 31st, 2024, our partner from Sweden, Mobilizing Expertise, hosted an amazing Multiplier Event for the ArtEMi Project at The Ground in Malmö, bringing together passionate participants from local NGOs, international volunteers, students, and past workshop attendees!

The afternoon kicked off with a warm welcome, followed by a fun bingo session, a project presentation, and a demo of our creative methodologies. Things wrapped up with delicious food and a chance to reflect.

The feedback from the participants? Nothing but positivity! Everyone left feeling inspired, connected, and excited to keep the momentum going.

Our final meeting for the ArtEmi project was held in Rome- where it all started back in October- on July 19th and 20th.
We are excited to announce that we have successfully navigated the final stages of the ArtEMi project and have reviewed and finalised our project results.
We also explored the opportunities for the sustainability of our project and the potential for applying our methodologies in various contexts.

Our Greek partner, ΚΕΚ Δάφνη - Dafni Kek, made a special presentation of the ArtEMi project on June 6th at Lipasmata Multifunctional Park (Workers Park) in Athens.

The event was held in two phases. The first phase featured a sunset photowalk in Drapetsona with the theme "Old, New, and Renewed", led by Ms. Nataliya Dovhopol with the participation of the Ukrainian Diaspora in Athens. The second phase included an open discussion on "Art as a Means of Women's Empowerment."

We were also honored to have Ms. Magda Roussis, MA Visual Artist, participate in the event with her insightful speech, "Aristophanes' Lysistrata: Woman as a Lever of Change". Ms. Magda Roussis presented the timeless relevance of Aristophanes' classic comedy Lysistrata, written in 411 BCE and how this ancient play, centred around a daring and unconventional protest led by women, reflects the profound potential of women as agents of change in society.
