The second call for applications to the Joint Master ChIRS – Chemical Innovation and Regulation for Sustainability has now concluded!

Congratulations to all candidates selected for the 2026–2028 edition, and thank you to everyone who applied and placed their confidence in ChIRS.

We were delighted by the quality and international diversity of the applications. The new cohort will bring together students motivated to connect chemistry, innovation, sustainability and regulatory knowledge.

Selected candidates will begin their ChIRS journey at the University of Algarve and later follow an individual research and mobility pathway within the consortium.

All candidates should consult the ChIRS applications portal for their individual results and next steps. Results will not be published publicly.

Confirmation emails for the ChIR Symposium 2026, taking place on 29–30 June 2026, have now been sent to all registered participants.

The second call for applications to the ChIRS Erasmus Mundus Joint Master is now open for the 2026–2028 edition.

ChIRS combines chemistry, sustainability, Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) and international chemical regulation in a truly European learning experience across Portugal, Spain, Italy and Poland.

If you want to contribute to safer chemicals, sustainable innovation and the protection of people and the environment, this programme was designed for you.
