A week of field work in the salt pans of Olhão, planting seagrass, but also removing excess algae biomass to prepare the lagoons for more transplants! Massive work only possible with the help of all the volunteers that came to help! 👌🙏

Scientific divers from the Marine Science Center carried out kelp transplants in Cascais. During the activity, they planted around 2,000 kelps, contributing to the restoration and conservation of marine ecosystems. Five scientific dives were conducted, totaling 7 hours and 30 minutes of diving per diver. Altogether, the underwater work added up to approximately 30 hours of scientific research and intervention, demonstrating the team's commitment and dedication to preserving the marine environment in Cascais.
Versão PT: Mergulhadores científicos do Centro de Ciências do Mar realizaram transplantes de kelp em Cascais. Durante a atividade, plantaram cerca de 2000 kelps, contribuindo para a recuperação e conservação dos ecossistemas marinhos. Foram efetuados cinco mergulhos científicos, totalizando 7 horas e 30 minutos de mergulho por mergulhador. No conjunto, o trabalho subaquático somou cerca de 30 horas de investigação e intervenção científica, demonstrando o compromisso e a dedicação da equipa na preservação do ambiente marinho em Cascais.
