One booking is not a verdict on your business.

One cancellation is not a verdict on your work.

One retreat that doesn’t hit the numbers you hoped for doesn’t erase everything you’re building.

You can become so emotionally attached to the number of people who book that your entire experience of your business starts to depend on it.

A booking makes you feel like a genius.
A cancellation makes you panic.
A slow launch makes you question yourself.
I’ve done it too.

But after 25+ retreats, I care about the numbers without making them personal.

If a retreat isn’t as profitable as I expected, I look at it.

What could I have done differently?
What can I learn?
What do I want to change next time?

But I don’t let one retreat become a measure of whether I’m good at what I do.

Because when you zoom out, one retreat is such a tiny piece of the bigger picture.

You’re building something that can last for years.
You’re changing people’s lives.
You’re creating experiences people remember.
You’re building relationships, a reputation and a body of work.

And sometimes the biggest growth isn’t another booking.

It’s becoming the kind of leader who can experience uncertainty without immediately believing something is wrong.
