The International Conference “Le devenir des morts”, co-organised by CIEM, SuLiSoM and CEIS20, will take place from 26 to 27 June 2026 at the University of Strasbourg.

Demographers, researchers, clinicians, anthropologists, and thinkers will discuss the contemporary transformations of funerary practices, new forms of symbolic survival — holograms, synthetic voices, digital memorials — and the ethical, psychological, and political questions they raise.

A Conferência Internacional “Le devenir des morts”, coorganizada pelo CIEM, SuLiSoM e CEIS20, decorrerá de 26 a 27 de junho de 2026 na Universidade de Strasbourg.

Demógrafos, investigadores, clínicos, antropólogos e pensadores debaterão as transformações contemporâneas das práticas funerárias, as novas formas de sobrevivência simbólica — hologramas, vozes sintéticas, memoriais digitais — e as questões éticas, psicológicas e políticas que elas levantam.

The 3rd Colloquium on Interdisciplinarity returns to the Garden of the House of Ardenas (CEIS20) on 16 June 2026, offering a day of reflection and debate centred on interdisciplinarity in practice. Bringing together researchers from different scientific fields, the meeting invites participants to consider how research paths, projects and questions are developed within interdisciplinary contexts.

The Open Science Communities at UC event will take place on 19 October 2026, as part of International Open Access Week, with the aim of showcasing Open Science in its entirety at the University of Coimbra by promoting innovative practices, projects and reflections, while also fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration.
Contributions may take one of the following formats: a presentation of approximately 15 minutes; or a one-hour workshop, where the topic may be of interest and benefit to the wider UC community.

O evento Comunidades de Ciência Aberta na UC realiza-se no dia 19 de outubro de 2026, enquadrado na Semana Internacional do Acesso Aberto, com o objetivo de dar visibilidade integral à Ciência Aberta na Universidade de Coimbra, divulgando práticas, projetos e reflexões inovadoras, assim como potenciar o conhecimento e a colaboração.
As comunicações poderão ter um formato de: 1) apresentação de cerca de 15 minutos; ou 2) workshop de 1 hora, quando se trate de um tema que possa ser útil a toda a comunidade UC.
