The colour monster by Anna Llenas is a beautiful book about feelings. If you are teaching toddlers and preschoolers I highly recommend you try it in your circle time. It’s a very colourful book, children are fascinated by the illustrations and if you use props like the ones I showed you in the video it is even more engaging. Always allow children to handle the props. The finger puppets were a success in the classroom. Each child picked their feeling allowing choice which is very important with these age groups. Associating a feeling with a colour is a beautiful way to introduce feelings, talk about how each child feels with this sweet colour monster.
