Walking barefoot was not part of the plan. But feeling the cold water and the solid wood actually was enlivening 😊

For several personal reasons as well as the corona pandemic, I have decided to open up my men's group.

For the next couple of months (and potentially longer), all men can freely join our weekly meetings.

In the Emerging Men meetings, we men hold space for each other, encourage each other to share, and support each other.

If you're not sure whether it'd be something for you but are curious, just come and join once and decide for yourself.

I had a great time giving a workshop on Authentic Leadership at Universidade Nova de Lisboa for the Blues Programme!

I really got into the flow after a comment of one of the participants. She said, "sometimes we don't ask for help because we think we have to do it on our own."

I appreciated the input and spontaneously took a detour to talk about how we are born dependent on our mother and other caretakers. During teenage years we grow more independent and perhaps achieve this at the early or mid-twenties.

This seems to be the end goal for many people: we can do whatever we want and are independent.
🌱
However, once we achieve independence, a whole new world opens: the world of interdependence. It is the world of intentionally choosing to interact with, synergise, and relate to other people to create something beautiful (and how without interdependence none of us would even exist).
