Alongside Moonluza’s gatherings and creative spaces, my work as an interpreter brings me to some wonderfully unexpected places.

After a very interesting assignment, I’m reminded of the thread that connects these parts of my life: curiosity, listening, and helping people understand one another.

Different places, different stories — all finding their way into my Moonluza journey. 💛

A Sunday among the trees…

After a busy week spent between words, translations, classes, plans and stories, today offered something different:
a walk through the beautiful forests of Sintra.

No deadlines. No screens. Just trees, sunlight, fresh air and the quiet reminder that sometimes the best way to find our balance again is simply to step outside and walk. 🌿

And perhaps because Stories of the Trees is so much on my mind these days, I find myself looking at them a little differently.

Wondering what they have witnessed.
What they remember.
What stories they might tell, if only we knew how to listen.
Today, though, there was no need for many words.
Just walking. Breathing. Listening. 🌳

A beautiful Sunday in Sintra — and a little forest energy to carry into the week ahead. 💚

And just like that… Autumn is here.

The light is softer.
The mornings are cooler.
The leaves are beginning to change.
A season for warm cups, longer evenings, forest walks and stories waiting to be told. ☕🌳📖

Perhaps autumn doesn't ask us to hurry into something new.
Perhaps it simply invites us to notice what is changing.
Welcome, autumn.

🌳 September among the trees…

There is something special about trees at this time of year.

Summer is still holding on to their branches. The afternoons are warm, the light is golden, and much of the world around us is still green.

And yet, if we look closely, autumn has already begun to whisper. 🍂

A leaf changing colour.
A different light between the branches.
A little more silence in the morning.

Trees are wonderful keepers of transitions.

They remind us that change does not always arrive suddenly. Sometimes it begins quietly, almost unnoticed — one leaf, one colour, one small letting go at a time.

Perhaps that is one of the reasons we are so drawn to them. They accompany our seasons too: our memories, our journeys, our beginnings and endings, our sense of home and belonging.

And in November, we will gather online to listen more closely to some of those stories.

🌳 Stories of the Trees — and perhaps, one of them is yours…

This November, we will gather online to listen to stories of trees, forests, roots, traditions, memories and belonging.

Registrations for Stories of the Trees · 21–22 November 2026 are open, and alongside our programme, there will also be space for something very special:

your stories. 🌿

Do you carry a memory connected to a tree?
A forest that feels like home?
A tradition passed through your family?
A story about nature, roots, belonging—or perhaps a particular tree that has quietly accompanied part of your life?

We warmly welcome participants who would like to share a personal story during our gathering.

And a story does not have to arrive only in words. It may be spoken or sung, or shared through a memory, an image, or an object that carries meaning for you.

There is no need to be a professional storyteller.
Just bring a story that matters to you. 💛

If you would like to share one, simply let us know when you register.

And if you prefer only to come, listen, reflect and be among the stories—that is equally welcome.

Between words and stories…

It is one of those wonderfully busy weeks.

I seem to be spending my days between words — translating them, interpreting them, teaching them, searching for just the right ones…

…and between stories — preparing for Stories of the Trees this November and slowly following the path towards our Symposium in Poland next spring. 🌳🏰

Different languages. Different projects. Different people and places.

And yet, somehow, they all seem connected.

So this week, Moonluza is a little busy, a little surrounded by papers and plans, perhaps drinking slightly more coffee than usual… ☕😉

But very happily moving between words, trees, stories and dreams of a castle in the forest.

Some weeks are for slowing down.
And some weeks are for watching the stories take shape. 🌿✨
