Finally, it is published the Handbook of Technology Assessment, organized by A. Grunwald at Elgar publishing house. And there is our chapter (written with Bettina Krings, from Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis (ITAS) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany) on technology assessment (TA) and human work in production activities. We conclude that the increase of TA studies in the last three decades on industrial production indicates the societal problem orientation of these technological innovations and its impact on employment and job qualification.
In other words, most technology innovation does not consider the social dimension. This topic has been object of TA research since the decade of 80s of last century. We have tried to bring this debate roots into new perspectives and relate it with new challenges and problems.
A new article where we propose a conceptual model for enhancing a human-centered production environment, and a literature review. It characterizes the different dimensions of relations between cognitive and organizational factors. Developed together with colleagues from ENSAM Arts et Métiers - École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers (Nancy, France) and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

Bryn Jones (University of Bath) will present our paper on "Platform Capitalism as a Trojan Horse: Combating Big Tech Threats to European Civil Society", to the EuroMemo Group international conference. The paper is produced together Bettina-Johanna Krings (ITAS Karlsruhe Institute of Technology), and myself (Nova University Lisbon).
The conference takes place at the University of Applied Sciences, BFI Vienna (Austria) from 12th to 14th September 2024.

Here is a new article published together with Jérémy Lefint, from ITAS-KIT (Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany). I am his co-advisor for the PhD thesis on the topic of Technology Assessment on the applications of exoskeletons for work activities.
It will be a cumulative thesis, and this is his first peer-reviewed Scopus publication.
