The course provides an overview of the historical evolution of second/foreign language education by contrasting different approaches and methods throughout time. It explores the impact of current trends on L2/FL teaching and learning, bridging the gap between theory and practice in real communicative situations.

The primary focus of the course is on developing language teachers’ knowledge of planning and implementing classroom activities that promote learners’ oral and intercultural competences. Accordingly, the course aims to integrate Task and Project-Based Learning (TBL / PBL) with Intercultural Language learning (ICL) in a world of many languages.
