A Especialização em Administração Hospitalar resulta de uma parceria entre a Escola de Economia, Gestão e Ciência Política da Universidade do Minho e a Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública.

The statement comes from Nuno Reis, Manager and Lecturer in Quality Management, who highlights the importance of advanced training in preparing leaders for the challenges of healthcare management.

The Specialization in Hospital Administration is the result of a partnership between the School of Economics, Management, and Political Science at the University of Minho and the National School of Public Health.

A distinção reconhece o artigo científico “Health systems resilience: is it time to revisit resilience after COVID-19?”, dedicado à análise da resiliência dos sistemas de saúde no contexto pós-pandemia.

On 16 June, the EEG will host the award ceremony for the 2025 João Monjardino Prize, which will be presented to Marco Paschoalotto, Professor at the School of Economics, Management and Political Science at the University of Minho and Deputy Director of CICP.

The award recognises the academic paper “Health systems resilience: is it time to revisit resilience after COVID-19?”, which analyses the resilience of health systems in the post-pandemic context.

Os investigadores da Escola analisaram temas da atualidade internacional, como as relações diplomáticas entre os EUA e o Irão, as visitas de líderes políticos à China e as dinâmicas da geopolítica global. No plano nacional, os docentes integraram painéis de discussão sobre o mercado de trabalho, a retenção de talento jovem, a competitividade das empresas portuguesas e a estabilidade constitucional.

Between 11 and 31 May 2026, the School of Economics, Management and Political Science of the University of Minho maintained a regular presence in public debate. Researchers from the School analysed international current affairs, such as diplomatic relations between the US and Iran, political visits to China, and global geopolitical dynamics. On the national front, the faculty participated in discussions concerning the labour market, the retention of young talent, the competitiveness of Portuguese companies, and constitutional stability.

Entre 18 e 22 de maio, a EEG organizou a componente presencial do BIP “The EU-LAC Relations in a Shifting World Order”. O evento contou com a participação da Universidad de Granada e da Università degli Studi di Padova, dois parceiros da Aliança Arqus, reunindo estudantes e docentes das três instituições em sessões, workshops, palestras e sessões culturais.

O programa incluiu ainda quatro sessões online, entre 27 de abril e 6 de maio, e culminou numa simulação do Modelo EUROLAT. Esta iniciativa pretende promover a reflexão e o debate em torno das relações entre a União Europeia e a América Latina e Caraíbas, num contexto internacional marcado por transformações geopolíticas, económicas e sociais. Ao longo das diferentes sessões, os participantes terão contacto com perspetivas internacionais e abordagens multidisciplinares sobre os desafios emergentes da ordem mundial contemporânea.

🌍 𝗘𝗘𝗚 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗜𝗣 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗨-𝗟𝗔𝗖 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿

Between May 18 and 22, EEG organized the in-person component of the BIP “The EU-LAC Relations in a Shifting World Order.” The event included the participation of the University of Granada and the University of Padua, two partners of the Arqus Alliance, bringing together students and academic staff from the three institutions for sessions, workshops, lectures, and cultural activities.

The programme also included four online sessions, held between April 27 and May 6, and concluded with a EUROLAT Model simulation. This initiative aims to foster reflection and debate on the relations between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean within an international context shaped by geopolitical, economic, and social transformations. Throughout the different sessions, participants engaged with international perspectives and multidisciplinary approaches to the emerging challenges of the contemporary world order.
