Tiago Pinheiro is a researcher at the Financial Stability Department of Banco de Portugal since 2019. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2010, and worked as an academic until 2015. Tiago then worked at Moody’s Analytics betwen 2015 and 2019. His academic research interests are in Information and Financial Economics, with recebt work on sovereign guarantees, loan recoveries and debt restructurings.

João Oliveira is a PhD student in Economics at Leibniz University Hannover and currently a visiting researcher at the University of Minho. His research focuses on international trade, with a particular interest in how cross-border policies, institutions, and market structure shape trade flows, prices, and firm behaviour. His current work studies international cartels and their effects on global trade patterns using matched cartel and bilateral trade data.

Eduard Brüll is Research Manager at ZEW Mannheim. He holds a doctorate in economics from Heidelberg University (summa cm laude) and previously served as Interim Professor at the University of Mannheim. His research spans labour economics, digitalisation, and the application of machine learning and NLP methods to large-scale administrative and text data. Eduard is the author of tidyllm, an R package for integrating LLM APIs into data workflows, and of a semantic paper search engine for economic research used by researchers at over 60 institutions worldwide.

Tony Berrada is Professor of Finance at the University of Geneva (Geneva Finance Research Institute and Swiss Finance Institute). His research interests are in asset pricing, and particularly the role of learning in models with incomplete information.
Professor Berrada is a regular speaker at leading finance conferences and workshops worldwide. He teaches executive education courses on portfolio management. He is the head of research at the GIWM (Geneva Institute for Wealth Management), a non–profit foundation created to promote international partnerships with the University of Geneva in post-graduate education, executive education, research and knowledge transfer in wealth management.
