The 5th International Conference on Night Studies (ICNS.LX_5) will focus this year on the vital role of nighttime spaces in the LGBTQI+ community.

Submission Types:
· Oral Communications: Both traditional and non-traditional formats, with a 15-minute presentation time.
· Organized Closed Sessions: Focused discussions on specific topics.
· Workshops: Tutorials and interactive sessions.
· Documentaries and Audiovisual: Dedicated sessions for selected submissions.

ICNS.Lx_5 will be held in hybrid mode (on-site in Lisbon at NOVA University Lisbon – Campolide Campus, and online) from Oct 9th to Oct 11th, 2024.
ICNS.LX_5 is more than a conference; it's a platform to echo research, artistic works, and professional practices related to the urban night.
This event is a collaborative effort by the International Night Studies Network and LXnights - Pensar criticamente a noite de Lisboa , supported by CIES-Iscte , Centro Interdisciplinar de Ciências Sociais and Instituto de Sociologia da Universidade do Porto.

SPECIAL THEME 2022: An agenda for Night Studies?
This event aims to be a platform for sharing ongoing or recent research, open a critical and interdisciplinary debate, and boost networking, bringing together academia and society.
ICNS.LX will be held on line on October 5th-7th, 2021 via Zoom and on-site in Lisbon.
