A Cinematic Journey: Entre Action! Training week in Tampere

In December 2023, a consortium of dedicated teams gathered for a film education training experience, led by TAMK (Tampere University of Applied Sciences). This diverse journey unfolded over several days, blending technical expertise, creative collaboration, and insightful discussions. The topic of the training week was “Training for teachers: How to prepare a movie for Gen Z and A”.

Last Tuesday, on June 27th, we highlight the powerful statement from Secretary-General António Guterres on the Day of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. 💼💡

🌍 These enterprises make up nearly 90% of businesses in the global market, contributing to over 60% of jobs and half of the world's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Their significance cannot be understated. 💪💼

⛑️ Guterres acknowledged the challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises, including natural disasters and the global crisis generated by the war in Ukraine. However, last year's theme, "Resilience and Reconstruction," emphasizes their crucial role in just and sustainable recovery. 🌱🚀

📊 According to the UNCTAD report, foreign flows reached nearly $1.6 trillion in 2021, emphasizing the need to prioritize funding for the Sustainable Development Goals. The World Bank also highlights the importance of these enterprises in generating the 600 million new jobs required by 2030. 🌎💼

🔥 Strengthening small businesses is essential in combating poverty, creating jobs, and safeguarding the livelihoods of billions, including the working poor, women, and youth. 💫
