HAPPY INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY!

I can’t even begin to tell you how much yoga has changed my life.

From being cooped up in an office all day, to being a yoga teacher and yogapreneur, working for myself.

From being completely disconnected from my burnt out body to reconnecting and deeply listening to its needs (though it’s an ongoing process…).

From being in my head all the time, rationalising, thinking my way through things, to simply being in the moment and allowing myself to feel my feelings (also, an ongoing process).

Before yoga, I could never have just sat in the sofa and stared out of the window.

Before yoga, I would push my body with exercise trying to get rid of the stress of my job and everyday life.

Before yoga I would deprive my body of sleep for all the things I HAD TO do, trying to compensate my stressful job with more exercise and nourishment (and also, wine).

I had more money than I needed but no time for just being me.

The change didn’t happen after one yoga class. Not even after a year. But now, 14 years after I first walked into a yoga class, my life has completely transformed.
