CODE ABLE is an initiative that creates learning experiences and opportunities for youth with special needs to pursue their passions in high-tech world.

Our programme "Developing Technological Skills for Youth with Special Needs” has ended on the 4th Feb, 2021. The programme consisted of ten sessions, we focused on python programming language.

We were glad to graduate our first batch, and we look forward to see you in our future programmes.

Our focus in the 8th session was on “Python Conditions and If statements”.

We applied several examples together. And learn together how Python supports the usual logical conditions from mathematics.

In our 7th session we were delighted to welcome Rehabilitation Center counsellors who followed up the students status and progress. The counsellors were very pleased with the progress noted over the seven sessions. And they were excited to see our students result at the end of our programme.

We wish more excellence and achievements for our students.

In our 6th session, We had start working on a small project which is “How to Build a Basic Calculator”. We programmed a basic calculator in addition students learned project building strategies and How to think in a logic way.

CODE ABLE goals are to let students know “How making research effectively?” and “Self-Teach Programming”. Our 5th session was led by our student Hashem. Therefore, he did some researches and studied the material in advance. Then he explained the material to students. Students were happy to hear Hashem and interact with him, which resulted from developing his personality and the strengthening of his self-confidence.

We were delighted to have our 1st virtual meeting with our students, as we have done a revision for our previews sessions, also we discuss and answer their questions.

In our third meeting we focused on “How to define a variable in Python “and we have implement it within our meeting.
We look forward to see you all on our fourth session, as we will explain variable types.

On Tuesday 1st December, We were delighted to launch our first official program "Developing Technological Skills for Youth with Special Needs”, 15 Palestinian youth with special needs aged between 16 to 25 years joined us, in first meeting we focus on the basics of computer science. Second meeting we explained the concept of programming and the types of programming languages, in which, the training course will be articulated around programming in Python language. Also we explained the reasons behind choosing this language specifically and its relevance. In addition to the advantages and tools, and how it works and its various applications in the world of technology.

We look forward to see our students tomorrow in our 3rd meeting.
