In Bethany on the 13th, Aug 2026, during the graduation party for the participants of the course " From Field to File " that took place in Bethany from 03 to 13, Aug 2026 with the official attendance of the Italian deputy consul, Mr Damiano La Verde, Mr Dario Piatelli and Mr Luca Perugini representing the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, Mr Najati Fitiani respresenting the Mosaic Centre Jericho, Francesca Romana Stasolla representing La Sapienza University of Rome, Carla Benelli representing Pro Terra Sancta. We at Mosaic Centre Jericho were so proud to have this experience with La Sapienza University in the organization of three courses under different titles that took place in Jericho and Bethany as the following:
1. Archives and Libraries. 21,June to 02, July 2026.
2. Preserving the Past. 05, July to 21, July 2026.
3.From Field to File. 02,Aug to 13,Aug 2026.
We were so proud to cooperate in this work for the benefit of the Palestinian youth who came from different Palestinian cities to get the chance to participate in those courses under the academic training and supervision of professors and experts who came from Italy to convey to them many new skills and knowledge in many fields.
It was the first time for us to cooperate with La Sapienza University in this academic field, but as they confirmed, it will followed with many other different chances targeting our youth who work in the field of the preservation of the Palestinian cultural heritage.
The teachers and experts of La Sapienza did their best to teach our students many new skills in the field of restoration and preservation using old and new technological tools. Field visits were organized to archaeological sites to give the chance to the students applying what they have learnt.
We say from our hearts thank you La Sapienza and thanks to the Italian Agency for the Development Cooperation for their generous funding.
All together to a better understanding and a better preservation for the Palestinian cultural heritage.
