المخيم كان نجاح كبير لفريقنا لانه من خلاله قدرنا نساعد المشتركين ليبنوا افكارهم الريادية ويطوروا من مهارتهم في التفكير التصميمي وعرض الافكار وتعرفنا فيه على شخصيات طموحة للتغيير الايجابي.

المخيم كان نجاح من ناحية تانية كونه اول نشاط اشتغلناه مع شركائنا الجدد بالضفة الغربية Factory-X وقدرنا فيه نكسر حاجز المسافة ونوسع من تأثيرنا الايجابي! 💪

شو هو مخيم واتسون فلسطين؟

هو تدريب مكثف على مدار 3 أيام في الريادة الاجتماعية، تشاركنا في تطويره مع مؤسسة واتسون، مؤسسة ويسترن يونيون، ومساحة عمل فاكتوري اكس. خلال المخيم بيتعرف المشارك على أساسيات حل المشاكل المجتمعية من خلال إنشاء شركة بهدف مجتمعي. معنا رح يتعلم المشترك مهارات الريادة مثل التفكير التصميمي، التشبيك والعرض ويطبقها معنا مباشرة على الحل اللي بيسعى لخلقه وضمن أهداف التنمية المستدامة ل2030. في المخيم رح يتواجد:

* مجتمع من الأشخاص اللي بتتشارك شفغها بتطوير ذاتها والمثابرة لحل المشاكل والتحديات الكبيرة

* خبراء محليين ودوليين ليساعدوا المشتركين ويوجهوهم خلال بناءهم لحلولهم

* مدربين من المجال الريادي وأصحاب الشركات الناشئة ليشاركوا مهاراتهم مع المشتركين

لكل أصدقاء Fill The Gap، اليوم وزي ما وعدناكم جبنالكم بعض النصائح العملية لتطوير لغتكم الإنجليزية.🤩

-ابدأ بعمل خطة، اتمرن كل يوم لتجعل من التمرن على اللغة روتين يومي💪، وطبعا حدد هدف طويل الأمد واجعل منو أهداف أخرى قصيرة الأمد.
-خطط لتشتغل على المهارات الأربعة الأساسية للغة: القراءة، الكتابة، الاستماع، والتحدث، ولا تنسى تاخد بعين الاعتبار قانون ال 20 ساعة.🙃
-حاول تحيط نفسك باللغة الإنجليزية😮، ودائما احمل مفكرة صغيرة لتكتب فيها كل الكلمات الجديدة.
-فكر باللغة الإنجليزية لتزيد من طلاقتك باللغة، واحكي مع نفسك عشان تزيد ثقتك بنفسك وتحسن من لفظ الكلمات.😎
-احضر البرامج التلفزيونية الناطقة بالإنجليزية والأخبار لأنهم بيساعدو بشكل كبير انو تعتاد الأذن على سماع اللغة😉.
-المقالات والكتب الإنجليزية بيساعدو بشكل كبير في تطوير مهارتي القراءة والكتابة🤓 وخصوصا باستخدام بعض من استراتيجيات القراءة.
ملاحظة أخيرة/ مواقع زي English Test store و BBC Learning English كتير بتساعد في تعلم اللغة، شوفوهم!😮

To all Fill The Gap friends, here are some tips and tricks to help you improve your English language.🤩

-Set a plan to practice every day and establish a routine💪, also give yourself a long term goal and short term goals.
-Work on the four core skills of the English language: reading, writing, listening, & speaking, and take into consideration the 20-hour rule.🙃
-Surround yourself in English😮, and keep a notebook of new words you learn.
-Think in English to improve your fluency, and talk to yourself to build confidence and improve English pronunciation.😎
-Tv shows, news and entertainment could be of great help to make your ears used to the sounds of the language😉.
-Articles and graded books will also help improve your English🤓 especially if you apply some intensive reading strategies.
PS/ English Test Store and BBC Learning English are two great websites to practice your English, pay them a visit!😮

"إذا كنت تسعى لتحقيق هدف كبير، عليك تقسيمه إلى عدة أهداف صغيرة."
وهاد بالفعل إلي عملناه في الجزء الأول من برنامج Fill The Gap💪، حيث انو عملية تحقيق هدف البرنامج تمّت على ثلاث مراحل مختلفة، واليوم حنعطيكم نظرة سريعة عن المرحلة الأولى من الجزء الأول من برنامج FTG.😎

خلال هادي المرحلة، كل الجهود المبذولة كانت بتركز على بناء مهارات الاتصال والتواصل لدى الطلاب المشاركين، بالإضافة لتطوير عقلياتهم وطرق تفكيرهم.🤓 تم تحقيق هادي الأهداف بنجاح من خلال لقاءات وورشات تم عقدها للمشاركين بالتعاون مع برامج ومبادرات أخرى صديقة.
جميع مبادئ الاتصال والتواصل تم تغطيتها بهادي اللقاءات😮 زي مبادئ التواصل الأساسية (المقابلات، الإنصات الفعّال، فن طرح الأسئلة)، مهارات الاتصال المكتوب (كتابة الإيميلات والسير الذاتية)، مهارات التواصل الاجتماعي (مهارات الحوار، التقديم، المناظرة والمفاوضة)، ومهارات الاتصال المتقدمة (تقديم النفس والترويج لها، وترويج الأفكار). بالإضافة لذلك، تم مناقشة كمان مواضيع مثل إدارة الوقت، التأقلم والمرونة، التعلم الذاتي، أنماط الإنتاجية، الذكاء العاطفي والعديد من الموضوعات المشابهة. وهادي اللقاءات تم عقدها مرات في مؤسسات أكاديمية، ومرات أخرى في قاعات مراكز ومؤسسات مجتمعية.🙃
المرحلتين المتبقيات، بخلاف هادي المرحلة، كانو بيعتمدو بشكل أكبر على الطلاب ومشاركتهم في أداء المهام، وحنحكيلكم عنهم في بوستات قادمة😉، خليكم متحمسين.🤩

“To Achieve Your Goals Faster, Break Them Down Into Milestones.”
And so we did during the first cohort of Fill The Gap💪; the process towards achieving our goal was made through three distinctive phases, and today, we’ll give you a quick peek into our first phase of the program.😎

During this phase, our focus and efforts as FTG team were pointed at building the participants communicating skills, as well as strengthening their mentalities by building growth and flexible mentalities.🤓 This was successfully achieved through multiple weekly sessions, held in collaboration with other initiatives and programs.
Many aspects of communication were covered😮 such as basic communication (interviews, effective listening, & the art of asking questions), written communication (CV & emails writing), group communication (presentations, debates, negotiation & discussion), and advanced communication (self introduction, self promotion, & idea pitching). In addition, topics like time management, adaptability & flexibility, self-learning skills, productivity styles, emotional intelligence, mindset development, and many others were also discussed.
These sessions took place sometimes in academic facilities, and other times in the meeting halls of other community organizations.🙃
The participants had more tasks and duties to perform in the next phases, unlike this phase, and we’ll tell you all about them in coming posts.😉🤩

بس ليش؟🤔 ليش الإنجلش يتبع؟ ليش ما نكتفي باللغة العربية مثلا أو باللغة الإنجليزية؟
سؤال كتير بسيط وإجابته أبسط ولكنها منطقية. 😄

ببرنامجنا Fill The Gap بنعتمد اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة تواصل مشترك بين أعضاء الفريق، بالإضافة لأنها اللغة المعتمدة لتقديم اللقاءات وورشات العمل، كتابة وأداء المهام والبحوث والمقالات، وكمان عملية البحث عن المعلومات😮، بما انه أغلب المصادر المعلوماتية المتاحة بتكون باللغة الإنجليزية. الهدف من كل هاد هو تطوير مستوى اللغة الإنجليزية عند المشتركين وتعويدهم على استخدامها بشكل احترافي أكتر🤓 لأنها اللغة الدراسية لمعظم التخصصات، شرط أساسي للتقديم لأي مشروع أو فرصة أو وظيفة، وكما أسلفنا إنها اللغة المكتوب فيها غالبية البحوث والمصادر العلمية.

ولكن، بما إنو بصفحة البرنامج بنستهدف الجمهور العربي، ولساننا هو لسان عربي🧡، فبنكتب منشوراتنا باللغة العربية. وكمان لنوصل صوتنا للطلاب الي ممكن يستفيدوا من برنامجنا رغم عدم إتقانهم اللغة الإنجليزية جيدا. صحيح إنو اللغة الإنجليزية معيار مهم للقبول في برنامجنا، ولكنه ليس المعيار الوحيد😉. وقريبا حننزللكم نصائح وإرشادات مختصرة لكيف تحسنوا من لغتكم الانجليزية.💪

Umm but why?🤔 Why is this post written in both the Arabic and the English languages?
A simple question with a simpler answer.😄
In our program Fill The Gap, the English language is used as a tool of communication between the team members, as well as it’s the language in which sessions and meetings are held, tasks are performed, articles are written, and research is done😮. We aim to encourage our participants to improve their English skills, and get familiar to using the English language in a more proficient and professional way,🤓especially now that English is a highly-required qualification for most of the jobs, projects, and opportunities. Not to mention that most of the available academic researches and resources are written in the English language.

However, and since this page targets the Arab Audience -specifically the Palestinian one, and our mother tongue is Arabic🧡, we post in the Arabic language as well. We also want for our voice to reach all the students, including those who may not be able to fully understand the posts written in English. It is right that a good English language is one of our program’s criteria, but it’s not the only one😉. And soon, we’ll help you out with some tips about how to improve your English language.💪

أكيد سمعت بإسم Fill The Gap أكتر من مرة، بس كم مرة سألت نفسك على شو بيدلّ الإسم؟🤔 عبارة عن شو وشو سبب الفرا____غ وال gap الي بنخطط نملأه ونذلل الصعوبات الي بيمثلها؟ ببوست اليوم حنجاوب على هادا التساؤل.😁

البرنامج بدأ بعد ملاحظة فراغ وفجوة كبيرة بين قدرات ومهارات خريجي الجامعات الفلسطينية وقدرات ومهارات نظرائهم من خريجي الجامعات الأجنبية، وهادي الفجوة بترجع لأسباب منها النقص الكبير في المصادر التعليمية الموفّرة من قبل الجامعات الفلسطينية، وكمان الغياب شبه التام في ثقافة التعلم الذاتي والاعتماد على النفس بين طلاب الجامعات الفلسطينية🙁. هادي الأسباب هي نفس الأسباب الي بتدفع خريجي المرحلة الثانوية من أصحاب المعدلات العالية يطلعو يدرسو بالجامعات برا فلسطين، وهادي كمان شغلة بنحاول نغيرها عن طريق مساعدة الطلاب يتعلمو ثقافة التعلم الذاتي وتعليمهم كيف يبحثو عن المصادر والمنح ويستغلو الإمكانات المتاحة على أكمل وجه🧐. فإذا بتطمح للتجربة الجامعية "الكاملة"، خلينا نساعدك "تكمل الفراغ".😇

You’ve come across the program’s name several times by now, but have you wondered why it is called fill the gap?🤔 And what is the ga____p we’re trying to fill?
Well, let us help put your wonders to ease and tell you why.😁

We believe that there is a gap between Palestinian graduates capabilities and foreign graduates capabilities which is mainly caused by the shortage of academic resources provided by the Palestinian universities, as well as the absence of self-learning and self-development culture among college students🙁. And for these same reasons, many high school top performing students seek better college education experiences abroad, which is something we’re also trying to change by implementing the culture of self-learning in the students, and teaching them how to take full advantage of the available resources and dig for other resources and opportunities🧐. So if you want the ‘’full’’ college experience, let us help you ‘’fill the gap’’.😇

في البوست السابق، حكينالكم عن بعض من أهداف برنامج Fill The Gap، وبهادا البوست، حنحكيلكم عن كيف بنخطط نحقق هاي الأهداف بمساعدتكم.🤗

أولا، حنعقد لقاءات تحضيرية عن الحياة الجامعية لنجهز المشاركين بالبرنامج لتجربة جامعية منتجة، كمان حنعقد لقاءات لتطوير مهارات المشاركين الشخصية ونقدملهم من خلال هادي اللقاءات نصائح وطرق بتسهل عليهم الحياة الجامعية، بالإضافة إلى انو حنصمم لكل مشارك خطة دراسية خاصة فيه ليحقق أعلى النتائج😮. ثانيا، حنطلب من المشاركين بالبرنامج انهم يأدّوا مجموعة من المهام عشان يطبقو الأشياء والمهارات الي تعلموها سابقا ويستفيدو من مهارات أخرى لا يمكن تعلمها إلا بالتجربة🤓. أخيرا وليس آخرا، كل المشاركين بالبرنامج حيشاركو بنشاطات ومشاريع لا منهجية، بعض من هادي المشاريع حيتم دمجها بالتجربة الجامعية بمساعدة منشآت أكاديمية وتعليمية.😌

In the previous post, we provided you with some of Fill The Gap Program goals; and in this post, we’ll explain to you how we intend, with your help, to achieve these goals.🤗

Firstly, orientation sessions on college life will be provided to the participants, soft-skills sessions will also be held to expose the participants skills and tricks related to student’s life, and customised study and development plans will be created for each participant😮. Secondly, the participants will be requested to perform a number of instructional and academic tasks to implement the skills acquired from the sessions🤓. Thirdly, the participants will engage in several extracurricular activities, and these activities will be incorporated in the academic experience in collaboration with academic facilities.😌

Dear college students, we’d like to help you to:😁
-Develop your soft skills, such as your communication, leadership, public speaking, and teamwork skills, as well as many other practical job skills.
-Have the right mentorship and guidance towards how to leverage your resources during and after college years, which will expand your network of mentors and supporters.
-Pursue your goals and achieve self development.
-Take advantage of an open opportunities, tools, resources and techniques channel provided to you by FTG team.

Hello all!! we’re back to you with a second cohort of our program, Fill The Gap (FTG).🤩🎉
But before we spill all the tea, we’d like to tell you more about the whats, whys, and hows of our program.🤭

Fill the gap is a program that aims at the Palestinian college students with high potentials to raise the students’ undergrad college experience and enhance their skills needed in both college and professional lives, in an attempt to create and foster a culture of self-learning and self-development among the students, turning them into competitive, productive individuals, who would leverage all open resources to achieve their desired goals as students and later graduates.

Why is the program concerned with the students’ skills and productivity?🧐 And how ,exactly, is the program planning on making a difference in the students’ college experiences?🤔 All that and more in the coming posts. 😉😄

بلشت الجامعات وبلشنا تنفيذ البرنامج. ⭐️
بعد ما أتمينا لقاءات أول أسبوعين تحضيريين في غزة سكاي جيكس، جامعة الأزهر، ومؤسسة تامر، هلأ رح نبدأ في تنفيذ المرحلة الأولى لتنمية مهارات التواصل الفعال! 🗣

لقاءنا رح يكون بكرة/السبت في الجامعة الإسلامية- مبنى طيبة M- قاعة المؤتمرات الساعة 2:00-5:00. اللقاء مفتوح للمهتمين بحضوره والاستفادة منه بعنوان أساسيات التواصل الرسمي والمحادثات الفردية.
