شارك مركز حفظ التراث الثقافي يوم الجمعة الموافق 08/05/2026 في فعاليات ماراثون فلسطين الدولي العاشر، الذي انطلق من مدينة بيت لحم بمشاركة واسعة ضمّت آلاف العدّائين والعدّاءات من مختلف أنحاء فلسطين والعالم. 🏃‍♂️🇵🇸

ويأتي هذا الحدث السنوي ليؤكد رسالة فلسطين الحضارية والثقافية، ويعكس روح الصمود والأمل وحق الشعب الفلسطيني في الحرية والحركة والحياة. كما يشكّل الماراثون مساحة للتبادل الثقافي والإنساني، وفرصة لإبراز الهوية التاريخية لمدينة بيت لحم ومكانتها العالمية.

نفخر بمشاركتنا في هذا الحدث الوطني المميز، إلى جانب المؤسسات المحلية والشركاء الداعمين، إيماناً منّا بأهمية تعزيز الحضور الثقافي والمجتمعي، وربط التراث بالحياة اليومية والأنشطة الشبابية والرياضية.

The Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) participated on Friday, 08/05/2026, in the 10th Palestine International Marathon, which took place in the city of Bethlehem with the participation of thousands of runners from Palestine and around the world. 🏃‍♂️🇵🇸

This annual event reflects Palestine’s cultural and civilizational message, highlighting the Palestinian people’s resilience, hope, and right to freedom of movement and life. The marathon also serves as a space for cultural and human exchange, while showcasing the historical identity and global significance of the city of Bethlehem.

We are proud to take part in this distinguished national event alongside local institutions and supporting partners, reaffirming our belief in the importance of strengthening cultural and community engagement and connecting heritage with everyday life, youth, and sports activities.

ضمن أعمال ترميم برج جوستنيان ومغارة الأطفال في كنيسة المهد في بيت لحم، والمموّلة من الصندوق العربي للإنماء الاقتصادي والاجتماعي لصالح كنيسة المهد للروم الأرثوذكس، وبالتنسيق مع وزارة السياحة والآثار، قام مركز حفظ التراث الثقافي وبالتعاون مع جامعة القدس – أبو ديس (برنامج الماجستير في الترميم والصيانة، وبكالوريوس علم الآثار) بتنفيذ أعمال توثيق وترميم لعدد من العناصر الفخارية التي تم العثور عليها في منطقة المشروع أثناء أعمال الترميم.

وتأتي هذه الأعمال في إطار الجهود المبذولة للحفاظ على المكونات الأثرية المكتشفة ضمن الموقع، وضمان توثيقها علمياً وترميمها وفق الأصول المتبعة في صون التراث الثقافي، بما يساهم في حماية القيمة التاريخية والأثرية للموقع.

As part of the restoration works of the Tower of Justinian and the Children’s Grotto at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development for the benefit of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Nativity, and in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP), in collaboration with Al-Quds University – Abu Dis (Master’s Program in Conservation and Restoration and the Bachelor’s Program in Archaeology), carried out documentation and conservation works for a number of ceramic artifacts discovered within the project area.

These works aim to ensure the proper scientific documentation and conservation of the discovered archaeological materials, contributing to the protection and preservation of the historical and cultural value of the site.

أنهت طواقم مركز حفظ التراث الثقافي في غزة أعمال التدخل العاجل والإسعاف الأولي في حمّام السمرة التاريخي في مدينة غزة، وذلك بدعم من منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة (اليونسكو).

وشملت الأعمال إزالة الركام المتراكم داخل الحمّام، والكشف عن الأرضيات التاريخية والبلاط الملوّن الذي يميّز هذا المعلم العثماني العريق، إضافة إلى إنقاذ وجمع الركام الأثري والحجارة الأصلية للحفاظ عليها تمهيدًا لاستخدامها في أعمال الترميم المستقبلية. كما أسهمت هذه التدخلات في إظهار ملامح الحمّام المعمارية التي كانت مغطاة بالأنقاض.

وتُظهر الصور المرفقة مشاهد قبل وبعد التدخل، بما يعكس حجم العمل الذي أُنجز للحفاظ على هذا المعلم التاريخي المهم، الذي يشكّل جزءًا أصيلًا من ذاكرة مدينة غزة وتراثها الحضري.

في ظل ما تمرّ به غزة من ظروف قاسية، يبقى العمل على حماية معالمها التاريخية عنواناً للصمود، ورسالة أمل، ووفاء لتاريخ المدينة وأبنائها.

The Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) teams in Gaza have completed the emergency intervention and first aid works at the historic Hammam Al-Samra in Gaza City, with the support of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The works included the removal of accumulated rubble inside the hammam, the uncovering of the historic floors and the distinctive colored tiles that characterize this significant Ottoman landmark, in addition to salvaging and collecting archaeological debris and original stones to preserve them for potential use in future restoration works. These interventions also helped reveal architectural features of the hammam that had long been buried under the debris.

The attached photos show before-and-after scenes of the site, reflecting the scale of the work carried out to safeguard this important historic landmark, which forms an integral part of the memory and urban heritage of Gaza City.

Amid the difficult circumstances Gaza continues to face, working to protect its historic landmarks remains a symbol of resilience, a message of hope, and a tribute to the city’s history and its people.

نظّم مركز حفظ التراث الثقافي، اليوم الأربعاء الموافق 11/2/2026، ورشة عمل تدريبية متخصصة بالشراكة مع برنامج EAMENA التابع لجامعة أكسفورد في إنجلترا، وبالتعاون مع وزارة السياحة والآثار، وبتمويل من المجلس الثقافي البريطاني من خلال برنامج CPF لحماية التراث الثقافي.

وشارك في الورشة أكثر من 30 مهندسًا ومختصًا في مجال التراث الثقافي من قطاع غزة، حيث هدفت إلى بناء القدرات في مجال حصر الأضرار وتقييم الحالة الفيزيائية للمباني والمواقع التراثية التي تضررت نتيجة الحرب، وذلك ضمن جهود تعزيز الاستجابة المهنية لحماية التراث الثقافي في ظل الظروف الراهنة.

ومن الجدير بالذكر أن مركز حفظ التراث الثقافي بصدد البدء بالمرحلة الثانية من مشروع حصر وتقييم الأضرار للمباني والمواقع الاثرية في قطاع غزة، استكمالًا لجهوده المتواصلة في حماية الموروث الثقافي الذي تضرر أثناء العدوان على قطاع غزة ووضع الأسس العلمية لخطط التدخل والحماية المستقبلية.

The Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) organized today, Wednesday, 11/2/2026, a specialized training workshop in partnership with the EAMENA Programme at the University of Oxford, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and funded by the British Council through the Cultural Protection Fund (CPF).

The workshop brought together more than 30 engineers and cultural heritage specialists from the Gaza Strip. It aimed to build capacities in damage surveying and assessing the physical condition of heritage buildings and sites that were affected as a result of the war, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the professional response to safeguarding cultural heritage under the current circumstances.

It is worth noting that the Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) is preparing to launch the second phase of the project for surveying and assessing damage to heritage buildings and archaeological sites in the Gaza Strip. This comes as a continuation of its sustained efforts to protect the cultural heritage that was damaged during the aggression on the Gaza Strip and to establish a scientific foundation for future intervention and protection plans.

يواصل مركز حفظ التراث الثقافي جهوده في حماية وصون التراث الثقافي في فلسطين، من خلال تنفيذ عدد من مشاريع الترميم والتأهيل في مواقع دينية وتاريخية مهمة، وبدعم من منظمة الاستجابة الطارئة للتراث الثقافي (CER).

ففي مدينة بيت جالا، تتواصل أعمال ترميم الفسيفساء في مغارة كنيسة مار نقولا بالتعاون مع لجنة وكلاء الكنيسة، فيما أشرف المركز في بلدة بني نعيم على مشروع ترميم وإعادة تأهيل مسجد ومقام النبي لوط، بالتعاون مع وزارتي الأوقاف الإسلامية والسياحة والآثار الفلسطينية، وبمشاركة لجنة إعمار المسجد وبلدية بني نعيم، وبدعم من المجتمع المحلي.
