EN | Dr. Hala Rashed Al-Yamani, Associate Professor in the Department of Early Childhood Education, and Dr. Fadel Alsawayfa, Chairperson of the Department of Early Childhood Education at Bethlehem University, have co-authored a book chapter titled “Reconceptualising Educational Assumptions in a Creative Pedagogy Summer School, Palestine” published in the book Critical Learning Through Creative Research Practice by Palgrave Macmillan.

The chapter explores the Creative Pedagogies Summer School at Bethlehem University and its role in fostering critical thinking, arts-based research, and innovative educational practices among educators and community practitioners.

The study highlights how creative pedagogies can support reflective learning, challenge traditional assumptions about education, and empower educators to respond to social and political challenges through creativity, dialogue, and research.

خلال هذه التجربة، تعمل ملك على دراسة وتطبيق مواضيع متقدمة مثل ميكانيكا الأوساط المستمرة، وطريقة العناصر المحددة، والنمذجة الرياضية، والمحاكاة العددية المستخدمة في تحليل الأنظمة والمشكلات الهندسية المعقدة.

EN | Malak Ghnim, a student in Bethlehem University’s Computer Simulation in Sciences and Engineering program, is currently undertaking an academic experience at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, where she is advancing her graduation project while gaining firsthand exposure to a leading European research and educational environment.

During her time in Germany, Malak has been working on advanced topics such as Continuum Mechanics, the Finite Element Method (FEM), mathematical modeling, and numerical simulation techniques used to analyze complex engineering systems and real-world challenges.

Malak notes that her studies in the Computer Simulation in Sciences and Engineering program have provided her with a strong interdisciplinary foundation that combines mathematics, programming, engineering, and computational modeling. This preparation has enabled her to engage confidently in advanced research projects and transform theoretical concepts into practical engineering applications.

The program equips students with the skills needed to address complex scientific and engineering problems through simulation, modeling, and data-driven analysis. Graduates are prepared for careers and graduate studies in fields such as engineering, scientific computing, data analysis, industrial simulation, and research and development.
