Dear Professors,

My name is Angélica Meinhofer, and I am an Assistant Professor of Population Health Sciences at Weill Cornell Medicine and a proud former University of Puerto Rico Río Piedras student. I’m reaching out to share a summer internship opportunity at Weill Cornell that may be of interest to your undergraduate students.

Our Division of Biostatistics is currently accepting applications for its 2027 Biostatistics Summer Internship Program, a paid summer program in New York City for undergraduate students interested in data analysis, health research, and biostatistics. Students work on a real-world health research project, receive training in R and biostatistical methods, and participate in career development and mentorship activities.

I would be very grateful if you could share this opportunity with students who might be interested. More information about the program, eligibility, and application process is available here:

As a UPR alumna, I would be especially excited to see students from Puerto Rico apply!

Warmly,

Angélica Meinhofer, PhD
