2/10 garden lab meeting “Magic Beans”
We read , Jack in the beanstalk. Then we explored the garden and harvested or seed pods.
Seeds were planted and magic 🪄 is in the imagination these little gardeners took home. The promise of magical experiments, flowers that paint our fingers and the possibilities.
Fi fi fo fum, I smell the tiny gnomes in our garden.

Two Moms. Plant People. Childhood Protectors.
Back in October of 2015, two stay‑at‑home moms—with nothing but passion, a herd of babies, and an outrageous dream—decided to plant something bigger than a garden. With love as their resource and children as their inspiration, they began to shape a vision that would eventually touch the lives of hundreds of kids across western Puerto Rico.
We didn’t have much, but we had enough:
love, curiosity, dirt under our fingernails, and a belief that childhood is sacred.
From that tiny seed, a movement grew—one that invited children to explore, taste, plant, nurture, and reconnect with the magic of the earth. And somehow, in the middle of chaos, motherhood, and community building, we also found each other. Eleven years later, we’re no longer just friends—we’re sister-friends rooted in a shared purpose.
Life has taken us on different paths, but the passion remains the same.
🌱 Lauren nurtures her school garden within the Micael Waldorf community.
🌱 Elena cultivates hers in the SESO community.
And in a beautiful full-circle moment, both gardens were featured in the 2016 “Desde Mi Huerto” calendar—a reminder of how far a small dream can travel when tended with heart.
Today, we stand grateful—for every child who planted a seed with us, for every school that opened its doors, for every harvest shared, for every muddy little hand that reminded us why we started.
The ride has been wild and holy.
And we’re still here—two moms, two gardens, one lifelong mission:
To keep spreading our love for plants
and to protect the magic of childhood,
one garden at a time. 🌿💛

Recuerdos de un semillero 2022
Vivir con posibles riesgos te ayuda a ser mas precavido y capaz. Vivir en una esfera segura, nunca te reta - no te presenta situaciones en las que tienes que establecer limites, para sobrevivir.
