On Monday, October 24th, our brand of skirts shinned in a performance by Bombazo Dance Co for Red Bull Music event promoting Raúl Alejandro upcoming concert in NY!!! The event featured 4 Boricua chefs based in NYC! And our skirts traveled the internet with Rauw!!!! Thanks to the invitation of chef Manolo Manolo López, the skirts featured are our classic red falda, white jibara tops, headwrap, and our Signature Puerto Rican Bomba Flag Skirt (r). We are super excited for this opportunity!!!!

*Nueva Falda* NEW SKIRT & TOP* Adding to our Rep Your Town Collection: CANGREJERA!!!! San Mateo de Cangrejos was the first all black town in Puerto Rico! Recognized by the Spanish Crown of the time. Its name is in honor of the st. San Mateo and Cangrejos- the town had many crabs. Unfortunately, the Puerto Rican government renamed the town to Santurce and ex-propiated many of its residents from their houses/land and resold them to corporations. Families that stayed- Resisted. To say you are Cangrejera or Cangrejero means resistance, resiliance, strength, tradition, legacy, community, and familia! We honor this beautiful community with our hand-made 🇵🇷 skirts!!!

San Mateo de Cangrejos is the first town founded by Afro Boricuas during Spanish rule. It is one of the towns notably known for Bomba and hometown to one of Puerto Rico s esteemed Bomba Families: Cepeda. Bombazo Wear has the distinct honor to create a special edition skirt from our Rep Your Town Collection: CANGREJERA!!! Design exclusively by Bombazo Wear. This Saturday, the Historical Society of Villa palmeras is honoring Bomba dancers! We can't wait to see our skirts in motion with elders preserving our culture! It's truly an honor!!!

Today we are highlithing Aubrey!!! She won the title of Princess for the 2026 Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade pagent!!! She represented her families town of PONCE PUERTO RICO!
