Congratulations to Zairelys A. Reyes for receiving the Armando Riesco Scholarship in Industrial Engineering. Zarelys was a student member of our evaluation team and a proud product of the Puerto Rico public education system. We are persuaded that she will be a role model for Hispanic women in engineering. We would like to congratulate our former Administration Officer, Dr. Myriam Padilla, who received her doctoral degree in Business Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. Prior to her leaving our Center two years ago, she was instrumental in our growth and achieving our overarching goals. Congrats and good luck in your career.

Today, we're extremely proud to congratulate one of the pillars of our outreach efforts. Dr. Sujeily Sully Soto has just defended her doctoral thesis in Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Florida. We owe her much of our success in impacting the Puerto Rican youth, particularly those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Sully is heading to an outstanding job at Eglin Air Force Base.
